How's The Eagle?
« on: March 29, 2011, 05:16:24 AM »
Looking to get a new ball since my loving wife gave me a GC from a pro shop for any high performance ball. The owner recommended The Eagle, but he also has Roto, Storm, Track, Ebonite...
Anyone loving their Eagles, or recommend something else that they are just loving??

I know it sounds like I'm in denial, but I'm not.

The Eagle is just a re-labled Break Out in purple. I can't say enough postive things about this ball in my hands. Everyone is different, but for me the ball is very versatile. I have used it on a wide range of lane surfaces and patterns with just surface adjustments. I have a Break Out and in a week or two will have two of the Eagles. I am going to drill one as a replacment for my Break Out and another drilled pin up. With the 900 promotion for Nationals figured why not, stranger things have happened.

Roll with 900 Global.

I don't have a Break Out, but I do have the original Break, Break Pearl, Sideways, Clutch, and Bank. Do you guys think these balls overlap The Eagle, especially the original Break?

The Break Out and Eagle are supposedly just re-makes of the original Break......I don't think there are any other additives or anything in the cover. SO essentially it is an original Break.

I know that the Break Out and the Eagle are the same balls, just different colors, but I've never heard that they are also the same as the Original Break, which I love. I don't think I need another of the same ball since my Original is still in great condition, maybe just drill it differently.
Still want to hear more opinions.

The funny thing is I drilled a Breakout last year and didn't match up well with the ball at all.

The Eagle on the other hand fits in nicely with my arsenal.

Go figure.

Even though all the balls are the same color pigment makes a difference on how they react.  They are all a little different in their own way.

For me the Break Out and the Eagle have earlier roll than the Original Black Break.

Nice ball on oily conditions...my Eagle (drilled same as my Break Out) has more of a sharper backend reaction.

The layout's weren't that different.

For some reason my Breakout never stepped up like I expected so I retired it much earlier than my other equipment.

I drilled my eagle up with a 5" pin mb kicked right at 45 degrees

I've been rolling this ball now for about 3 weeks.. This ball has some serious movement!! This is an excellent choice for me on heavier type sport patterns. Ball reads the midlane great and still has a strong continuous arc on the back of the pattern. From my experience of bowling on sport and flatter patterns you need a ball that is predictable through the midlane and off the backend. This ball is a perfect fit for what I'm looking for on flatter lane conditions. This is an excellent ball and I understand why the numbers were so big with the break out at last years usbc championships. Good luck to all and I wil be glad to answer any questions you may have.
