I'm new to 900G and currently have the EON Infinite, Claw, WHB, Pearl After Dark, Truth Tour, and Shadow Opps. I am wondering what other balls in the line are good sport shot balls and have been successful in the past for you.

I think what you have is pretty thorough. Depending on layouts you might need to adjust surface. In general I think it's always wise to control the backend and slow the ball down, but that doesn't mean skip the pearls. Overall, the shot is tough, but with the right surfaces and others that play the lane similarly to break it down, the lanes will open up. Patience is always important and trust your game plan. Get on some sport patterns to see how your equipment differentiates from each other. THS will make everything look very similar. Hope this helps!

The only piece you might be missing is a strong asym pearl - something like a DCT Pearl. Once the lanes loosen up a bit, I've had great success with strong asyms, especially pearls.

I've always said, Nationals needs an Ops in your bag. Get you a Black Ops, hit it with 1000 and a large Val angle. Rambo the pots and thank me later.

Here's my plan right now for Nationals (end of March).
DCT
Black Ops
Tactical Ops
X2
Breakdown
Honey Badger
Since I'll be driving, I'll be taking other balls that may come into play based on what I see during the Bowlers Journal Tournament and Team Practice.

I like it!
I suck at Nationals but I like 1 surface symmetrical, 1 polished, and then a control peice.
I'd take eon infinite, WHB, and truth tour... Keep it simple.

Ok, my PSO is suggesting the Claw as a good option for National. I was looking at the Eon Infinite. So would those two balls be good options as well? Or too close to one another?

I like the Claw over the EI, unless you really need to keep the ball in front of you. The Claw will give you a better shape, IMO.

Thank you Doom

It's my pleasure! I hope to be able to go to Nationals next year, and a Claw or two is gonna be in the bag for sure.

Doom thabks for the advice, as well as everyone else. To me my Claw is very smooth and continues strong through the pocket. I can stand 10 and bang it down 5 and in on a fresh House shot. My Eon Infinite i'm more at 15 as it has a larger arching motion than the claw. Each seems to have theri moment during a set for me, both have had the first 11 but not the 12th yet. Anyway i like your Black Ops idea, i got the Truith tour specifically for Sport and Nationals as it was recommended to do so.
I really want to be able to square up as much as possible at Nationals this year with controlable pieces but will take what is given.
Also does 900 have a booth? I dont recall from years past.

Agree with this! I have two Claws, it’s my favourite ball! My EI is good as a control ball but the hitting power and the shape of the Claw is something else.
