New 900 Global Lineup
« on: May 26, 2015, 10:10:06 AM »
Speed    17-18 MPH
Rev rate   450-500
PAP   4-7/8 and 1/3 up
Axis Tilt   15 degrees
Axis Rotation  30 degrees

Respect Pearl   55x5x65
The Respect Pearl is an addition that I have been waiting for in the 900 Global line. That upper-mid level pearl ball with a strong backend reaction. As compared to the original Respect, I would say that the Pearl is a bit less overall hook, but it save more of it for downlane motion. This ball is cleaner through the heads than the original Respect with a harder response to friction downlane. This would be a great ball for medium oil conditions and when you need to get in a wheel the lane a bit after they are broken down. The Respect Pearl with the original Respect would be a great 1-2 punch for your benchmark and ball down reaction.

Boo-Yah!   70x5.5x35
When the lanes get dry or you are on an extreme over/under oil pattern condition this may be the ball of choice for you!  A urethane ball should be in everyone's bag because it is something that can be very useful when the lanes get rough. The Boo-Yah! provides that even ball motion that is ever so useful when the lanes are unpredictable. It won't give away the pocket, and still has great hitting power to mix up the pins. This ball does have a bit of hook to it, so it may be more useful on more conditions than the average urethane ball. If you constantly deal with a house that doesn't put out oil, you have really low ball speed/higher rev rate, or you are bowling on a shorter sport condition, this ball is a must have in your arsenal.

Dream Big   30x4.5x30
This is definitely the strongest ball now in the 900 Global lineup. The Dream On used to be the biggest hooking ball in my bag, but the Dream Big is even bigger! If you have a heavy oil condition to deal with, the Dream Big will read the lane with ease. The most impressive trait about this ball for me is the fact that it doesn't overreact off the spot down lane or pick up too early. For such a strong ball reaction, this ball is extremely controllable down lane which is something that I don't see very often. As compared to the Dream On, the Dream Big is a couple boards stronger overall, but the down lane motion is a bit more subtle due to the solid Alert Coverstock. The OOB finish at 4000 has plenty of teeth to read through the oil, but it can be lowered quite easily to pick up even more for those with lower rev rates or higher ball speeds.

Black Ops   50x5x35
The Black Ops reminds me a lot of the original Dream. It has a lot of length through the heads and a strong flip on the backend. By the numbers, the Black Ops is one of the strongest balls in the 900 Global lineup, but I would say it is a board or two less downlane than the original Dream. This will probably be the first ball out of my bag on most nights. I can always ball up to the Dream Big and ball down to the Respect Pearl. With its solid S70 cover paired up with the proven Break asymmetric core, this ball will be great for a multitude of lane conditions even when they get dry because you will be able to move inside and still get the ball to feed.

Chemical-X   40x4.5x35
The Chemical-X is a very interesting ball for me. This is one of the smoother overall balls in the new lineup from 900 Global. It comes at 4000 OOB and that allows the ball to read a bit in the oil, but it still has a tame downlane ball reaction while retaining good hitting power. I think this ball will be great on tougher lane conditions. When your angles have to be smaller, and you need to keep the ball in front of you, the Chemical-X will allow you to have a predictable ball reaction. Overall, just a really solid benchmark ball when the lanes do not give you a lot of miss room.

Yes, the Black Ops is one to get. I wasn't sure at first but definitely one of my favorites.

I'm going to make some videos within the next few days hopefully. I will post links to them to check out the ball reaction in person
