Wolverine Dark Moss Review
« on: August 25, 2022, 08:37:18 PM »
The Wolverine Dark Moss features the same S70 cover that was on the original Wolverine that came out of the box at 1500 polish. The only difference is color and surface prep which is now at 4K fast out of box. I have both Wolverines and I can honestly say I do not see any performance difference when the covers are identical. Out of box at 4K, the shape is similar, but slightly rounder and earlier than the 1500 polish version. I drilled mine 4 x 65 to get the smoothest motion possible while still retaining continuation, and it does not disappoint. The higher RG helps with noticeably extra and easier length, which allows for a great motion down the lane. With a polished surface, it's a great step down from a Zen Soul or any of the Idol series, while being a significant step up from the Burners, Hustles, and Tropicals. If you loved your original blue Wolverine and want to replace it, this is the one!

Ball Review Wolverine Dark Moss, RG: 2.54 Dif: .054 Cover: S70 Pearl Cover At 4k Fast
PAP 5 1/8 over ¾ UP, Medium/Ball Speed Rev Rate 275-325 Layout: 4 x 4 x 1 ¾

The return of the Wolverine is finally here. This addition is very similar to the original Wolverine with a bit a cover and finish change. The Wolverine is clean and smooth with a sharp backend motion. The new 4k fast finish seems to have gotten ride of the over under reaction the original was giving me initially. It has strong continuation through the pins. If you are a player looking for a ball where you can open angles and see the ball turn the corner holds energy the Wolverine would be the ball. This addition of the Wolverine reminds me of the IQ Emerald yet with a stronger sharper backend motion. It good to have the Wolverine back in the 900 Global line up.
