Coverstock:  S60 Solid
Finish:  1500 Grit Polished
Core: Dome Symetric
Color Scheme: Navy/Ocean Blue
Oil: THS, 42ft

The Dark matter provides a new ball motion for 900 Global in the Tour Preferred Series line that will definitely be the most angular ball in anyone’s lineup.  The new S60 Navy and Ocean Blue Solid Cover Stock comes OOB at 1500 Grit polished that looks great and will provide you easy length, but also give you the most distinct angular backend motion of any ball to date.  I drilled my Dark Matter with the Pin over the ring finger with the CG straight down. The Dark Matter allowed me to keep a tighter line up front as it produces more skid than my Chemical X, but gave me a more angular continuous move to the pocket.  The Pin Carry is incredible even on some slight outside misses the ball was able to recover nicely and had plenty of hitting power to kick out those pesky corners.  The Dark Matter will be the ball that you will like after lanes start to transition or on lower volume to medium oil patterns. This ball has jumped into my arsenal and will be going to all tournaments in the foreseeable future. Don’t give the pins a chance go spread some Dark Matter on the lanes today! 900 Global Performance for YOUR Game!

Speed    17MPH
Rev rate   450
PAP   4-7/8 and 1/3 up
Axis Tilt   15 degrees
Axis Rotation   30 degrees
Dark Matter   70x5.5x30
The Dark Matter does one thing really well - Big Backend Motion! This ball has to be the largest backend ball in the current lineup, and it could rival any symmetric ball on the market, currently. The Dark Matter is the new addition to the Tour Preferred Series lineup for 900 Global. With this variation of the S43 coverstock that is currently in the Boost series, the Dark Matter ends up with a beefed up cover that formulates to the S60 cover. This solid cover matched with the medium RG core gives you amazing length through the front part of the lane with a strong backend motion into the pocket. This is ideal for medium to dry lane conditions, and it could potentially take on a little more oil with some surface adjustments. I am not exaggerating when I say this may be the biggest backend ball on the market, and for a symmetric core, its even more impressive to have that much pop on the backend.

The Dark Matter has a medium RG at 2.52, symmetrical core and is part of the Tour Preferred line of bowling balls.  I have mine drilled pin parallel and to the right of the ring finger, cg at 80 degrees.  This ball is a monster on the backend!  Compared to the Respect Pearl the Dark Matter has a more angular motion on the back end and likes medium to light oil.  The Dark Matter and the Respect Pearl complement each other great the Respect Pearl has more mid lane and the Dark Matter has more skid flip.  The Dark Matter works really well when the heads are gone and you need to stand left and throw right.  Get some "Performance for your game".  Get the Dark Matter!  Rich Miller 900 Global Regional Staffer.

Likes: The Dark matter provides a new ball motion for 900 Global in the Tour Preferred Series line.  The polished S60 cover and the medium RG core gives you amazing length through the front part of the lane with a strong angular backend motion into the pocket.  I have found that this ball works best for me when the heads and outside part of the lane are torched.  I am able to move in, get the ball through the heads with a great hockey stick shape down lane.  This is a great ball for those of you struggling with late lane transition.

All I can say is WOW, when it comes to 900 Global's latest ball the DARK MATTER. The first time I threw this ball I knew it was a keeper, the ball motion is so clean and constant with a sharp continuous back end reaction. The new Dome Symmetric core is a special edition to the 900 GLOBAL lineup, and with a great mid price point, it's very affordable too!  This  is the perfect ball for medium oil conditions, and it combats those wet-dry house shots too.....  900 GLOBAL keeps releasing the best mid-price products in the industry, maybe it's time to step up to the plate and get your DARK MATTER today to get some performance in YOUR game.   Greg Thomas 900 Global Staff Member

S60 Solid coverstock
Dome Symmetric core
1500 polish
Layout - 85x5.375"x45
Pin - 3"
RG - 2.52
Diff - .040
RH cranker
Ball speed - 17-18mph
Condition - 41' THS
Volume - medium/heavy

If you have been waiting for 900 Global to release an extremely angular product, then wait no more! Dark Matter has a ton of length and a lot of late movement to go with it! This is the ball we've all been waiting for. Something long, that rip the backends off the lanes! The first few games I threw the Dark Matter, the pins were literally jumping off the pindeck and disappearing into what seemed to be a black hole...no wonder they call it Dark Matter! Staying true to the 900 Global line, even with its angularity Dark Matter is still predictable once you get used to its motion. Another arsenal must-have here; my favorite this far!!

Layout 60 x 4.5 x 40

The addition of the Dark Matter to the Tour line is a great addition to this seasons 900 Global Line up. I decided to go keep it simple with the layout to let the ball characteristics show itself. This has quickly became my benchmark ball for this season and is by far the best mid performance ball that I have used in the 900 Global lineup to date. For me this ball reacts almost like a hybrid because it reads the midlane well and still has enough to turn the corner on the backend. When the Respect Pearl is a bit to much or I need a little more midlane read I turn to this piece. Reaction wise it reminds me of a weaker version of the original Respect. I like what the R/D team has done with the chemical additive (S60) cover, hopefully there will be more variations of this in the future.

Coverstock: S60 Solid
Finish: 1500 Grit, Polished
Color: Navy / Ocean Blue
Core: Dome Symmetric
Pin Placement: Above and slightly right of ring finger (RH)
PAP: 4.5" over and 1" up
Test Pattern: THS (both fresh and broken down on a variety of lane surfaces)

At first I didn't know what to expect when combining a shiny finish on a solid coverstock with a symmetric core. I personally had never had a ball in my arsenal like this one until now and from what I have seen so far, I am incredibly impressed. This ball was showed the predictability expected from a symmetric solid along with the backend motion typically seen in pearlized equipment. Once you become accustomed to the motion of this ball you have no trouble trusting it to make the turn when needed. This ball is quickly becoming my go to on any type of medium oil pattern and is generally the first ball out on all THS. Another fantastic release from 900 Global.

Layout: 25*x4"x40*
Ball Speed: 15.5 - 16
PAP: 4" (right), 3/8" (up)
Surface: OOB (1,500 polished)
Pattern Type: THS

COMMENTS
With the new S60 coverstock, the Dark Matter is sure to deliver a huge backend motion and excellent pin carry. This ball is a perfect compliment to the Chemical X. When you need a bit of push and a stronger backend motion not provided by the Chemical X, enter the Dark Matter. With the medium differential, this ball will be an easy choice for many bowling styles and very drill friendly. The backend motion
will rival any symmetrical ball on the market and for the price, you won't find better performance from any ball out there. Overall, the ball is very versatile allowing bowlers to play closer to dry or move in and play deeper. I can't say enough good things about this ball, it just does everything very well. This is sure to be your favorite ball!

PAP is 4.25 right and .25 up, speed 16-17 mph 350 revs and 10* of tilt. the Dark Matter is quickly becoming my most favorite ball for medium lengths and volumes. I have 2. first one I drilled I wanted for when the fronts starts to go but still need a sharp angle to pocket, layout is pin up 4.5 x 3.5 x 2.5.this ball does exactly what I wanted it to. I love it so much I thought what if I drill a pin down and put some surface on it if I could use on fresh, guess what worked perfect, layout is 4 x 3.75 x 3.75 pin under ring with cg about 3.5 inches from lower center of grip. has a 1 hole 2.5 inches down from axis. this ball usually is first out of the bag, reads the lane so good it gives me a good idea of were the pattern is playing. with these 2 balls I can battle almost any medium pattern with ease.
