First off, I am not a 900 Global staff member but I do work in a pro shop, so I have tried out many different balls and would say that this one stands out amoungst the best.
The "Bank Pearl" from 900 Global is one awesome bowling ball. Previous to this ball, I have not had much luck with pearl surfaced bowling balls, usually too skid/flippy for me.
Drilled mine up using a dual angle lay out: 55 X 3 3/4" X 5
PAP: (RHD) 5 1/8 X 7/8 up. This put the pin slightly up and to the right of my ring finger.
Mass Bias was kicked out about 2 1/2" to the right of the thumb hole.
Extra hole in the P3 position.
Left it in OOB finish.
Had a chance to throw mine this week on "well used" AMF synthetic lanes. I normally play a down and in shot at this house, so that is where I started. The ball reaction I got was very smooth through the heads and a strong move to the pocket. I would not characterize this ball as skid/flippy at all. Normally, the down in shot here only holds up for a game and then you are either moving or changing equipment. I stayed on this line for the first two games, going 267 and 236. The third game I moved 6 boards left and played an inside/out shot (just to see the ball reaction) and was amazed on how the "Bank Pearl" roared back to the pocket, ended up shooting a 237 for a 740 series.
What impressed me most was how consistant this ball reacted shot after shot and how hard this ball hit the pocket for a "Perfect Pocket Strike"!
I have the original "Bank" and the "Bank Pearl" is a great compliment to it! I am back to using pearl again!

Likes:It's very seldom I do any postings of any sort about a bowling ball (Eric Thomas of Amf can attest to) so hear I go. First off I'm not going to talk about all that mumbo gumbo about cg's and pap's so if you are looking for me to get technical forget it. What I will tell you is that this ball is very predictable down lane. I used it on two differert patterns, one being a house shot and one along kegel pattern. On the house shot I could play straight up thirteen with a little belly and when the lanes broke down I could move to seventeen standing around the thirty and get a strong reaction. The following week in league I threw the ball the last game and was able to move deeper, about the thirty second board and threw to twelve. Again the ball reacted very well, not flippy but a very controlled motion to the pocket.I am at best a tweener type player with medium speed.On the kegel pattern which I believe was a forty three foot pattern I was again able to play deep, stand about thirty five and play seventeen on the lanes. Now I understand everyone's game is different and conditions are different and there's all these different drill patterns,but as you know if you are a higher end player, you know after a few games if a ball is good or not. Give this ball a try. Very good job global 900!

I'm right handed. I have an above average ball speed and revs to match. I am not going to get real technical but as you see in the picture below my Bank Pearl is not drilled to be a hook monster. The MB is inside my thumb hole(drilled through it). It was drilled to match my game as all bowling balls should be. Ball is still at OOB surface(out of box). I used it on a wood and a brunswick synthetic lane surface.
When I threw my Bank Pearl it hit the pocket very hard. It clears through the heads with little effort required. The back-end motion was strong and continuous but not extreme skid/flip like typical pearl high performance balls. I was still able to play a successful inside line (which is my favorite line to play, inside 15th board) and also more direct outside 15th board. I think a lot of bowlers will like the Bank Pearl because it is clean enough through the heads, to throw on a broken down pattern on synthetic and wood surfaces but strong enough to use when the lanes are fresh. Keep up the good work 900 Global.

Likes:First of all, I am not a staffer. I have no contract with company. The first six games out of the box I have shot 3games over 258 and a 300. This is in a late league house shot, starting about 18 at the arrows and ending up around 25 by the end of the night on synthetic brunswick lanes. I had drilled an original bank ball, which I liked on the fresh, but once I had to get left of 15 the core was just too strong for me. I would call myself a powerstroker. That original bank I had put the pin right below both fingers in center of grip, with cg directly below it an mass bias kicked out about an 1 1/2. I realized that when I drilled this bank pearl, I was going to put the mass bias right in my thumbhole to tame that strong core down, due to my "heavy hand". So I put the pin directly above my ring, left cg in middle of grip and drilled mass bias out with my thumbhole. When I get the ball in the oil, this coverstock/core combo matches up nicely. Ball will hit midpocket and keep pins low and send them flying. When I get it out to dries, with layout for me taming core down. It peels right off them and doesnt overhook and roll out. It saves a lot energy and rolls heavy!! THIS BALL IS A BEAST! I have also thrown this ball on Chameleon pattern for three games after they had been broken down and had 8-10 games each lane and shot 211,217 and 223. So with layouts to tame core down for those bigger hands this ball seems to work well on it also. This ball is a must have!

Likes:Had a chance to throw mine this week in an AMF synthetic house, 40ft pattern. Surface is older and has had a lot of play on it over the years. This house plays real wet/dry. A normal night in this 5 man scratch league its very common to see 8-10's and 5-7's on pulled shots. Moving in isn't really an option here, carry isn't the greatest for almost everyone on the right side, very speed sensitive. You need to be versatile and have a ball that is versatile and will read the lane, not overreact to the track area. That's where the Bank Pearl comes in!
OOB finish high polish. I was a little nervous about too much skid/flip but no worries here! My ball speed is around 15-16. I can't play in the "dirt" but I can play the edge with the right ball and layout. I laid the ball out to try and help the ball down the lane some, but also to make sure the ball transitioned soon enough. I got just what I was looking for.The ball is super easy to read off the end of the pattern. It is so clean and smooth (far from skid flip) that it is easy to tell if its is time to move. Also small adjustments like 2 and 1 seemed to do wonders with this ball so far. Due to being so clean through the front part of the lane it will push that extra couple feet keeping me from having to make a big adjustment like a 5 and 4 etc.
The ball also allows me to play very straight by lowering my rotation. I am able to stand around set the ball down around 11 and throw it to 5 with a good reaction using lower rotation (which is uncommon for most equipment for me). Or move in and set it down around 22 out to 9 with higher rotation.
The only knock I have found is a little bit of speed sensitivity which could probably be solved by knocking the polish off...A little firm with it on the fresh and it has little chance. But when I need something a little earlier I have other equipment for that.

Likes: I have my Bank Pearl drilled with the pin up. I love this ball on dry conditions. It gives me great length and strong back end. Also what I like about this ball is that the Bank Pearl works great in oil as well, whereas I tend to struggle in oil with pearl pieces. For me the Bank Pearl's length is awesone when the heads are fried. When I need a ball with a strong skid-flip reaction, this is always my ball of choice!

Likes: I drilled two of these. I have learned the drill patterns that work for me over the years so I don't try and get "fancy" anymore. I use a basic pin up over the bridge, and a pin down under the ring, just depends on the ball, and the reaction I'm looking for. I drilled one of each for the Bank Pearl..
Ball1. is pin up, ball 2 is pin down
Ball 1,...I always start with the surface out of the box. I have got about 20 games on this ball on mixed conditions.
First thing I noticed was the ball went LONG in the oil, and was very unpredictable at first. The factory finish was too erratic for my game, I have a ball speed of about 15- 15 1/2 and this ball was either sliding or jumping at first.
I wet sanded it to 2000 abralon, and the back to 4000, witrh no polish and now its much smoother and easier to read and adjust. I like the length and the later reaction on the THS I get with this ball, I feel I can stay in the scoring zone on the lane longer with the lenghth I get. I can stay with this ball for 3 games in league without moving
very much. I can easily chase the oil line as the night progresses, and not lose entry angle nor carry..This ball reads the great for me, it's forgiving in that I usually have a little tug, and a liitle swing both, once the lanes beging to open up some... In my only league I've had a 699 and a 740, with easy reads, and good strings of strikes. I also think this is one of the best looking balls on the market.
Ball 2, has all the accolades of Ball 1,...the difference is this ball (same surface change) reads the friction a little earlier with the lower pin placement. I can actually move left and cover more area than with Ball 1.
I like using this ball if the back ends aren't very dry, and show signs of carry down. This ball will move earlier off the friction and create a heavier-smoother look to it's roll,...I've had 300 with this one in practice.
I'm waiting to find a condition where I have to get left of 20 to use this ball, I think it will really perform the deeper I go..as always any with questions give me a PM. Strike to all, jime

The new Bank Pearl is an awesome bowling ball and a great compliment to the original Bank (for those of you that have purchased that ball.)
I have three Bank Pearls. The first Bank Pearl I drilled (shown in the 2nd picture below), is just my normal layout. (I always like to put my normal layout on a ball when I'm first trying it out, and then I change it up a little if I love the ball and want to drill more.) The reaction of this ball is a very strong backend motion, skid/flip, when this ball sees friction. The pearl cover makes the ball go pretty long, so this ball (out of the box) needs to see some friction to hook. However, if you take alittle bit of the shine off of the ball, you will see the ball hook in oil, but still have a huge backend.
I drilled another Bank Pearl (shown in the 1st picture below), and I set it up to be pretty mild. Anotherwords, I calmed down the backend reaction and set the ball up to be a little bit more controllable, so I could use it on drier PBA or sport shot patterns.
My third Bank Pearl (shown in the 3rd picture below), was drilled for me at the PBA Tournament of Champions. With this layout, I was able to play right off the corner and allow my ball to read the lanes without overhooking in the dry. It makes a hook/stop reaction, which also gave me a little tug room.
Overall this ball, has a great shape on both house patterns and Tougher PBA and sport shots. On house patterns, you can open up the lane with this ball (i.e. stand left and throw right and have it come back) or you can utilize this ball towards the end of league when the lanes start to change and you need a ball to get further down the lane, but still hook on the back end.

Likes: Only bowled 3 games of league play with it so far, however after picking it up from the pro shop where it was drilled, I rolled one game on fresh oil and shot 279 without any effort right out of the box. This ball loves a fresh oil shot, goes long and has a gentle flip (somewhat of an arcing shot more than a hard flip) Drilled with a stacked layout.
Dislikes: Had trouble with carry down of oil in 2nd and 3rd game.

Probably one of my favorite balls on the market right now. It handles plenty of oil for a pearl and is extremely angular even with my tamer angled layouts. One of the things that surprised me is that the ball is very controllable like the original bank. It does practically whatever my hand tells it to if there is an moderate amount of oil. My favorite thing to say to people as a joke to people is with this ball it isnt a matter of how many ten pins I am leaving today it is how many nine pins I am leaving. This ball drives very very hard.

Wood Lanes with guardian overlay, higher friction surface. Decent volume of oil in the middle part of the lane, strong backends.
Feet at 30, 20 at arrows and 6-7 at break point. I was not expecting to be able to use this ball all night.
Ball held all night long, made one 2/2 move in third game.
Amazingly smooth and consistent, reads the lane very well! Carried high and light shots well!
766 first night out!
I usually stay away from strong pearls due to most being very over/under for me. Definitely not this ball!!!
This is my first 900 Global ball and will not be my last!
I have never done a ball review before, but felt like this ball deserved some good words!
I am bowling tonight on a synthetic surface with a higher volume....I will update!

i drilled up 2 bank pearls, one with pin over ring and mb kicked out about an inch, left in oob, ball goes long and makes a hard strong continious backend,
second ball i decided to experiment a bit, decided to try a rico drill with this ball, not sure what i would get with the SRC core, all i can say is WOW, this ball is tottaly different then the first ball, comes of the hand in a heavy roll just reads the lane, with great carry and is the most forgiving ball ive ever thrown,you can tug it or send it wide it just finds the pocket,
id reckomend a must try for anybody try rico on this ball and se for yourself what the SRC core can do,
ball was great drilled pin over, but is off the charts good drilled rico
as you can tell im no expert at writeing a review, just i felt the need to get the word out about this ball and the chg it made going rico with it

Likes: Control and predictability. I drilled this ball 4.5x60x30 with a p3 weight hole. At out of box i loved the roll and continuation of this ball through the pin deck. However it did not allow me much miss room. After trying it on two different synthetic surfaces and one wood center i decided to tweak the cover a little bit. I hit the ball with a 2k pad and followed it up with a 4k pad. Boy did it wake this bad boy up!! It still had the great control,predictability and continuation as before but now allows me some "wiggle room" Comparing it to my Profit it is a couple boards more hook overall and not as angular off the spot. Compared to my Raw Profit it is a few boards less and again less angular. What else can i say but another great piece from the boys in San Antonio.

This is the best pearl ball i have thrown. this ball should be in top 5 sales if only everyone knew how good it was. I laid out my ball with a 45 x 4 x 70 layout and i kept it at its oob surface at 2000 polished. I bowl in a scratch league which switches kegel patterns evry six weeks. we are currently bowling on kegels route 66. this ball stores energy and has a great reaction on the back end. i bowl 16mph, 270 revs, 14 tils and 60 axis rotation and with my below ave speed and revs, this ball give me the back end i need or oilier conditoins.
i posted 2 videos on youtube. one is on kegels dead mans curve 43ft, and a 40ft house shot, the second video in on route 66. tip and avice are welcome i am always looking to learn. thanks.

What I was looking for with my Bank Pearl, was a ball with good length an a lot of backend on longer and heavier patterns to compliment my original Bank. What I got was just that! The ball clears the heads with ease, starts revving up in the middlane quite a lot and breaks with a strong but controlled arc to the pocket. Continuation through the pins is phenomenal due to the SRC core. None of my other balls hit as hard as my Banks!
Likes:Good midlane read with a lot of Backend, overal very strong, shelf appeal
Dislikes: Carrydown (This is wehre my original Bank comes into play!)
