Mike811......The new 900 Global Boosts are a great performance ball! These balls have great eye appeal and they come in three colors  Blue/Black Hybrid, Orange/Yellow Solid and Purple/Cream Pearl. The balls never over hook! Their best at home on medium to Dry Lanes. On a fresh house shot or a broken down pattern these balls always get thru the lanes smooth. There are no surprises, these balls do exactly what you want them to do, a nice clean reaction without giving up power.  This is a ball for everyone!

LOOKING TO "BOOST" YOUR GAME DURING LEAGUES AND TOURNAMENTS THIS SEASON? LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THE NEW ENTRY LEVEL BOOST FROM 900 GLOBAL. THERE IS ONE FOR EVERY LANE PATTERN THAT IS THROWN AT YOU. OPTIONS OF PEARL, HYBRID, AND SOLID GIVE YOU THE RIGHT LOOK WHEN YOU NEED IT MOST. THE 2000 POLISHED FINISH GIVES EASY LENGTH ON DRIER CONDITIONS, ALL WHILE STILL HITTING BETTER THAN THE OTHER COMPANIES' ENTRY LINES. I HAVE THE SOLID (ORANGE/YELLOW) BOOST, AND LET ME TELL YOU...AFTER I'VE BEEN TEARING THE PATTERN UP WITH MY HIGH PERFORMANCE PIECES, I CAN GO TO MY BOOST AND NOT HAVE TO MOVE MY FEET. VERY PREDICTABLE OFF THE DRY. CHECK OUT MY VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE, USER NAME "CONVENTIONALSPINNER"...

My Review of the 900 Global Boost Solid

Layout I chose for this ball was pin down between the finger cg kicked out about 45 degrees.

This ball is a great benchmark and go too ball for any shorter pattern or dry lane condition. it gets threw the lane very well and is smooth reaction on the backend and very controllable.

Summary: I suggest this ball for anyone looking for a ball for dry lane conditions and need something with a very controllable backend reaction.

Coverstock: S43 Solid
Finish: 2000 Grit, Polished
Color: Orange/Yellow
Core: Launchâ„¢ Symmetric
Pin Placement: Beneath middle finger and CG close to thumb hole (RH)
Test patterns: THS, Kegel Boardwalk

The great thing about this ball is the ability to use it on both THS and shorter sport patterns. The ball gives great control both in the front of the lanes and when making it's move off the end of the pattern. It retains enough energy, even on shorter/lower volume patterns, to have great punch in the back end so you are less worried about the ball rolling out and leaving flat 10's or 7's. On the Boardwalk pattern I was able to get my feet very far to the right and play outside of 1st arrow with a great, very rolly, reaction. This ball fits a niche for tournament players as well as weekly league bowlers.

LANE CONDITION

Length: 37-43

Volume:22-28

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS, modified house, WTBA Atlanta, WTBA Athens, Collegiate Patterns (38-41 ft)

COMMENTS

Likes: Hits very hard when playing straighter angles. Predictable, but still has some pop downlane.

Dislikes: Not good from deep unless I'm playing a fallback shot.

PICTURES AND/OR VIDEOS

I drilled this ball 60x5x75. I was looking for a medium strength cover that doesn't have too many problems revving up and still shaping. This ball is not something I need on every pattern, but it offers great control of the mids. It isn't smooth to a fault, but it definitely isn't sideways. Bowlers looking for something cheaper but still performs on house would also be happier with this piece. I have not thrown it with polish yet because I usually don't match up to balls shiny out the box. I have used it at every durface from 1000-4000 including some variations. 2000 or lower allows it to handle the hiher volumes better and still shape as intended. If you are speed dominant and want this ball to read more, maybe go with a 4 inch pin to PAP and surface.  If you like to go coast to coast with every ball, the Boost Solid is probably not for you. Probably would be better off looking at the Hybrid or Pearl.
