Break Down
Drilling:   Pin under middle finger CG in palm
Surface:   OOB
Lane condition:   41ft THS
Description:   The Break Down brings back the historic technology of the Break series from several years ago, but it has a tweak to the ball dynamics to make the ball very suitable for tougher/flatter/broken down lane conditions. This will be THE tournament ball of choice for me. I haven't seen a ball with the mix of an asymmetric core and so call "weak" RG and diff numbers before, but it provides a very unique roll and very controllable motion. This ball does the one thing that I look for when picking out a ball for tougher lane conditions; it seems to "hug" the lane as it goes toward the pins. Nothing every too dramatic, very predictable, strong motion through the pins, keeps pins low. Hard to argue with the success of this ball line in the past, and if you want to find a ball that will be great on tougher lanes and broken down shots, this is definitely one to consider.

Length:  41ft / 37ft buff to 40

Type: THS/Military Tournamanet

I drilled my breakdown pin above ring cg kicked. Who says you can't play in the dirt? This ball is perfect for dryer or broke down conditions. Very even controllable roll that doesn't over react to the dry. It allowed me to stay right as the lanes broke down. I loved not having to chase the shot and being able to make smaller moves. This is a must have for any caliber bowler, order yours today from K&K Bowling Services Las Vegas.

Drilled my Breakdown pin above the bridge. This reminds of the old days when you only had to move 2-3 boards at a time. This ball is great getting through the heads with ease then starts into reading the midlane and goes into a very controlled arc. I use this ball when the lanes have been broken down by the hi rev players. Instead of moving left 7-10 boards i can pick this ball up and only have to move 2-4 boards. With the low rg and low diff. it makes the ball stay on line longer. Really like this one. Thanks 900global for another great ball.

The new 900 Global Breakdown is unbelievably smooth.  I can see this ball being in play a bunch when the lanes are tough and you need a smooth predictable look, or when they're completely fried and you need a ball that isn't going to overreact down lane.  If you play on bowling on difficult patterns, you need this ball in your bag.

If there is only one ball for you to drill for the USBC Open Championships. This ball is the one. I drilled mine with a 5 inch pin above my ring finger, but layed the mass bias to the left of my thumb, to control the migration path of the ball even more. And what does that give me? A ball that is smooth controllable, allows me to manipulate my hand however I want and change angles and allow me throw the ball for all three games during transition on fresh patterns. I am drilling two of these balls for the USBC Championships and taking them with me. This core to cover combination has worked so well there in the past and I see this ball being incredible during the singles and doubles portions of the tournament. Please feel free to reply to me with any questions about layouts and cover combinations for this years tournament. You are going to lose pins if you don't have one of these in your bag for this years tournament. Thanks again 900 Global!

The NEW Break Down, smooth and predictable is an understatement for this one!  Drilled this one looking for midlane and control - got it all!  Ball has a nice midlane roll and a readable arc/flip for the backend.  Left in OOB finish, T pad 4000.  Reminds of the original black Break length with a smoother move off the spot.  For me with a slower ball speed (14-15mph) this ball is perfect for typical house shots.  What separates this ball from others is the predictability it brings.  Easy to read and doesn't jump off the fresh.  This is a medium oil ball that carries well especially light pocket hits.   Will be my go-to ball for THS.  A must have for tournaments, league, Nationals and anyone who remembers how good they bowled with the original Black Break.  Unique ball from Global that is a winner!

This ball was named correctly The Breakdown. This is a very smooth and predictable
ball from release to the pins. Some sessions when you’ve got great pin carry and the lanes break down and you don’t want to lose that angle to the pocket you can do what I did, I put the Breakdown on the lanes, did not move my feet or change release and continued to
carry the rest of the night. When the heads start to burn a little and the backend starts to jump, take your Breakdown out and you won’t have to worry about large adjustments.
Take my advice and get one.

Likes:  If you are looking for a ball to give you a smooth reaction off of the dry then this ball is for you.  I have drilled two of these, one being pin up and polished and the other oob pin down.
The pin up polished reacts a little later down lane, but keeps the smooth reaction off of the dry boards for me.  The pin down oob covers more boards, but still has the great midlane read and keeps the smooth reaction for me.
This ball will be great for THS or sport as the cover is strong enough to handle oil and with the smoother reaction will help with any over/under type of reaction you are seeing.  I also see this ball working great at Nationals, I will be hitting the pin down with a 2000 pad to start with in team and will be hitting the pin up with 4000 pad to switch too in later stages of doubles and singles.

I knew pairing one of my favorite cores (Break Asymetric) with one of my favorite coverstocks (S70 Solid) would make a great ball, but what I didn't know was that it would make for one of the most versatile balls I have ever thrown.  I absolutely love this ball for all conditions.  It is perfect for fresh oil on medium conditions.  It is even better on lates that are a bit crispy and you need something that won't overhook but still recover when you need it to.  I drilled my Break Down with the layout 60x4x40, and it is everything I would have expected and some.  You definitely need this ball for a THS or a good ball to transition with.

Smooth ball motion with great control.  Great ball for tougher lane conditions or controlling over under lane conditions. No surprises here except excellent carry for a ball this smooth.

Summary:  My first reaction of throwing this ball was WOW!  WOW being I finally have a low flaring ball in my bag that does not over react to the dry.  I had to keep moving right as this ball was so clean Sean Daniels – Global900 Staff Playerthrough the front part of the lane and so mellow downlane.  This ball will be an excellent addition to anyone’s arsenal and is a must have for the tournament player.
I used this ball in a tournament on Kegel  37ft Broadway pattern on old hooking wood.  I am still learning my arsenal so my move to this ball was late (game 8) however I got to see just exactly how much I will love this ball.  I was able to easily get it through the hooking middle part of the lane and once it hit the end of the pattern, the ball made a gradual motion back towards the pins.  This allows for you to be able to control the change of direction while being able to tighten up the angles through the front.
Another great new addition to the 900 Global family.

Thrown on house pattern and a challenge pattern

The Break Down's name says it all. Good on Medium - Medium/Dry patterns and the transition. Clean through the front, with a smooth roll down lane. It is a unique reaction that I do not think another ball can mimic.

On the challenge pattern the backends were a little sharp on the fresh and the Break Down match it well. It rolled strong, but did not over jump off the dry. As I reached game three the only thing I would change is having another Break Down with a smaller first angle, to store a little more energy. But the original still kept me in play without worries about leaving designs.

The Break is better for me on the THS game 2 into game 3. Its helps blend out the wet/dry that happens when you some on your pair starting with to strong of a ball.

I can see having a least 1 more in my bag with a stronger drill, this would make a good combo for most house conditions.

My Break Down has very good length and a smooth but strong backend reaction. This ball is readable, good for tougher conditions or when the Respect becomes too much ball. Really good transition ball or if you are playing on shorter patterns.

The Break Down offers a new twist on the extremely successful Break core. By pairing the S70 cover with a 2.57 rg and .030 differential core. This new entry into the Break line offers supreme control ability on most lane conditions.

For myself the Break Down is usable on most medium to medium dry patterns. The ball motion I saw was good length with a controllable move on the backend. This will be a ball in my bag for all of my tournaments this year.

If you are bowling on heavier volume patterns the Break Down may not be enough, unless you have a higher rev rate. I would recommend the Dream On or Moxie for those types of patterns.

Drilling: Pin below middle finger, mass bias at about 60 degrees (5 inch Pin to PAP)
Surface: OOB
Oil: THS (3 Different Centers)
The Break Down has a reaction I am not sure I have ever seen before. With the high rg, low diff, & medium Int. Diff, this ball does some tricks. It is super clean through the front with just an absolute predictable motion. As the lanes break down, but you are not looking for a skid flip motion, this ball is just perfect. For tournament conditions, this ball will be perfect when you want to play on top of the hook on the lanes. It doesn't over react, but it is strong enough to handle medium volumes of oil. It can handle some fresh patterns, but will be better suited for lanes going through transition. This ball is close in overall hook with the All Day, but just a completely different motion. It is a must have for any bowler!

The Breakdown is a unique addition to this years lineup. Initially I was surprised on how smooth the reaction was with the use of the original break core. The modification of the core numbers certainly show on this one. This ball plays right into the description, use when the lanes breakdown and on tournament conditions to control the breakpoint. I can see this ball being beneficial on the Open patterns this year as well.

been rolling the breakdown for 2 weeks now and can honestly say that this is 1 of the most smoothest and predictable balls that ive thrown in awhile. It works great on fresh ths to broken down ive been able to use it for all 3 games and only have to move left a few boards all night this ball allows you to play more in the friction with more direct lines to the pocket however of,i got wide with it or played more angle this ball mad me pay by leaving pocket splits or flat 10 pins however thats not what this ball was made for it did surprise me with how strong of a roll it has and the pin carry was very good.this ball for me is a ths killer and look fwd to using it on a variety of other patterns and will be carrying this ball to tournaments for sure.

Drillig (Left-Handed) Pin Slightly Above Left of Ring and CG / MB Straight Down

I threw the Break Down during a PBA Qualifier on the New Viper Pattern.  This was by far “the best ball on the lanes” that day (1st Place).  I began practice with the RESPECT, but quickly recognized the sharp jump it made when it hit the friction.  I immediately grabbed my Break Down and moved 4 boards left and targeted 10 at the Arrows with 7/8 at the break.  This ball allowed me to tighten up my line as it made a smoother more controlled move into the pocket.  I used this ball all 5 games as it allowed me to keep it in play without sacrificing pin carry.  If you are looking for a ball for those tough or transitioning lanes, that will clear the early friction with Big Time hitting power, this is it!  It is my Go To Ball and will definitely be going with me to El Paso!

Pin to CG 4.5"
Layout 50x2.75x40
Pin out 2.5"
Surface OOB 4000-grit
Weight hole @ PAP

With medium-heavy transition in mind, the layout above was generated using the VLS program and offers an easy-flowing read in the midlane. Transitions with a huge, yet predictable arc off the breakpoint, and continuation through the pins. This is the go-to ball when you need continual read throughout transition and still finish strong! The Break Down lives up to its name!

When the Break Down came out, I was super excited. It was long overdue, but with one catch, a lower differential core. How was this going to react? The Break Down is the smoothest, most controlled, predictable ball I have ever thrown! No matter what condition I used the Break Down on, what I got was a nice midlane read with a smooth, controlled backend reaction. This ball allowed me to square up to the lane and throw the ball on a down and in line. Nothing fancy or flashy about it. Also, after game 2 on a THS, the switch is automatic. It is easily the go to ball when the lanes get over-under and go through transition. When the heads get burnt, bring out the Break Down! True to its name, you won't be disappointed. You will find the back-end motion is not the same as a the typical "Break" core ball in the past with the skid/snap reaction. Very drill and bowling style friendly, don't be afraid to put your favorite layout on it.

Likes:  The Break Down is an absolute must to complete anyone’s arsenal.  IThis ball wouldn’t be my choice to start on a freshly oiled THS but I won’t leave home without it.  I recently bowled on the WTBA Sydney (33 Foot flat pattern), while most people were trying to use plastic or urethane, I was able to move right and throw the Break Down with ease.  These days balls are either sucking up the oil or spreading it all over the lane making it harder in the latter games, that’s when the Break Down comes out.  Everyone needs a go to ball when nothing else is working, the break down is what you need!  If you’ve ever had one of those days where you’ve ran out of options (everything is hooking too much or rolling out) then a Break Down is an absolute must to complete your arsenal.  If you’re heading to Nationals soon then this is a must have!
Simply put, on tougher/dryer conditions, this ball keeps you out of trouble and is always reliable!!!

REVIEW:

This was the first 900 Global ball I have tried sense the black eagle.  The break down did exactly what I anticipated on this short pattern.  Even with this short pattern the break down was still very controllable off the spot.  As the pattern blended out later in the day, I found that I had to put more revs on the break down to carry the corner.  I found the most success with the break down later in the day because of how clean through the fronts this ball is.

LIKES:

VERY VERSATILE
Very clean through the fronts
Controlled Backend

SUMMARY:

The Break Down will always be in my bag.  The versatility of this ball is UNBELIEVABLE.  It could be used on multiple patterns, and is most likely on the most versatile ball on the market.

BREAK DOWN
Drilling: 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 4 1/4 (Pin in my middle Finger)
Finish: Box Finish 4000 (NEAT “T” Pad)
Speed – 15.5-16.5 MPH
PAP – 5 1/4 & 7/8 up
The name says it all on this one.  When the lanes break down don’t be afraid to grab this thing.  With the slightly higher RG it gets through the front part with a little oil and lowered the Differential to lessen the flare so it doesn’t over react on the backend like many balls do.  It stays controllable and smooth even on lanes that may be messy for most.  It is not a big hooking ball, which makes it so great, it is designed for a smooth transition and controllable backend.  When the lanes are breaking down in the middle of the block or towards the end of league, don’t be afraid to grab this ball.

.030 Differential
.011 Intermediate differential
Positive Axis Point 5 7/16 by 1/4 up
Layout 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 5

I drilled the BREAKDOWN very similar to my Dream On, the only difference is that the Mass Bias is 1 1/2 inches closer to my PAP.  This ball motion is completed different than the Dream On, in fact the BREAKDOWN reminds more of a symmetric then an asymmetric ball.  This ball is very smooth, and not a big hook ball because of its higher RG and lower diff.  These ball will work really well on shorter patterns and patterns that have some play on them. I wouldn't recommend this ball for heavier oil conditions, in fact I like my reaction more so with a surface grit more than its box finish.  It's a good piece and it fills a gap with my current arsenal so I'm very pleased with this ball.  Don't forget to add a BREAKDOWN and some performance for YOUR game.

This ball is a true value in the line.  The ball rolls well, hooks when it has to, and hits noticeably hard for dry lane ball.  When you need something for game two or three, this is a great ball to have in the bag.  I have heard raving reviews from people using it on the short patterns similar to those you see at nationals.  I highly recommend picking one of these up.

The Break Down is the most controllable asymmetric ball I have ever thrown.  The RG, differential, cover, and core combination provides a unique shape that is great for sport patterns or league bowlers who like to play straighter angles. I like use it on shorter patterns or when I need to control the breakpoint.  Tournament bowlers and league bowlers, alike, will love using this ball when the lanes get tough.

The Break Down is another great use of the S70 coverstock this time in combination with a higher RG and lower Diff version of the proven Break Core. These parts combine to offer a smoother and more controlled motion than the Black Ops without sacrificing any power at the pins. I used a layout that produces a clean and smooth motion to help accentuate what the ball is designed to do and couldn't be more pleased. This has become the go to ball for me on wet/dry conditions or when I need to play right on short patterns that hook a lot on the back.
