- Color: Copper/Royal Blue All colors do vary somewhat from the picture shown.
- Coverstock: S30 Pearl
- Core: Symmetric
- Factory Finish: Polished
- Reaction: Low Arc
- Radius of Gyration (RG): 2.61**
- Differential (Diff): 0.026**
- ** RG and Diff are based off of 15 lb. balls
- Recommended Lane Condition: Dry-Medium Oil
- A few tiny pit holes in the cover stock of the ball are normal
Description: A great ball for when the lanes become broken down (dry up.) When the lanes are fried, you need something that handles the extreme dry while still maintaining carry though the pins. With its ultra-high RG and low differential dynamic symmetric core, the Desert Hook will give you plenty of length downlane without over-reaction off the dry. The Desert Hook provides unprecedented performance on "the burn," giving you an edge late in competition.

This ball is low on the hooking end but does it roll great. On a fresh house shot this ball got thru the lane smoothly and was very smooth off the corner, this ball will work on fresh and should be able to be used thru a full 3 game set even when the lanes break down. All in all this is def going to be a go to ball from the start.

Dry conditions, no worries. With the new Desert Hook, you won’t sweat anymore about oil breaking down. The must-have when the lanes break down. This new addition to the 900 Global Hook line, gets down the lane through the dry and rolls up to finish smoothly to the pocket. Great for Marathon tournaments and sweepers. So thankful they made this ball. I do not dread dry lanes any more!

I drilled my Desert Hook with 1/2 side 1/2 finger and took it out on the lanes after a four person league and a little open play. To say the lanes were fried would be an understatement, my son is left handed and was throwing a polished Vixen that would not hold pocket. The Desert hook got down the lane and carried with ease, I went 238, 237, 257 for a nice 732 and a request from my son to drill him one. This will be a great ball when the lanes dry out and everything else hooks to much. Good Luck and keep hitting them hard JMD878.

Length: 38 feet
Volume: Light
Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): House Shot
How many times have you been on the lanes and gotten lost in the transition or when the lanes fry out at the end of a tournament? Well, with the Desert Hook this won’t happen! I was impressed with how easy going the ball motion was playing straight in the dirt. I tried making this ball over react and I couldn’t! That was refreshing to say the least. And the bonus? It hits like a tank.
If you are hoping to have a ball in the bag that allows you to stay in a certain part of the lanes instead of having to make gigantic moves, the Desert Hook is for you! Global hits another one out of the park with the colors as well. Copper is always a good choice as it looks so good rolling down on the lane.
Don’t get caught in the desert without one of these Rescue packages!
Likes: Ability to play in the dry without rollout or over reaction
Dislikes: None!

Someone FINALLY made a dry lane ball that doesn't go 50 feet and snap off the planet! It's the Desert Hook! Awesome release from 900 Global. Drilled me simple as can be right over the label, pin up 5" from PAP. Reminds me of an old school pearl urethane reaction. Skids forever and rolls, yes rolls up to the pocket. The color scheme is great, the length this ball gives is FAB and it hits super hard. This one begging for fried conditions. I was impressed with the length, letting go back right with no over reaction at all. A must for dry lanes.

Great ball for dry lanes. Easy push through the front with a smooth move down lane. Nice energy in the pins. Not for oily lanes.

Drilled 50 x 4 x 40
Smooth off the end of the pattern is something that ever light oil ball should be. the Desert Hook lets you stay a bit closer to the Track when the lanes have really blown open. Hitting power for such a low diff ball is amazing and carry has not be an issue as long as you use it when there is a defined dry area on the lane to hook it off.
This ball has save a few sets for me when the lanes just seem to be hooking too much for anything else in my bag I can still go to the Desert Hook and send the ball down lane knowing it will not over hook and still have something left when it gets to the pocket.

COMMENTS
About the Desert Hook: The Desert Hook is a great ball for shorter and lighter oil patterns or higher friction lane surfaces when trying to stay closer to the track. The high rg/low diff core wrapped in the s30 pearl cover gives the ball good length and the low diff keeps it from going dead sideways in the back of the lane while still creating enough angle to get the corners out. Rev dominant bowlers will also find a spot in their bags for the Desert Hook and will likely be able to use it on most THS.

Drill Pattern: 65*x5 x20*
Length: Easy Length built into this ball and even more added by the layout. It clears the fronts and midlane even when they start to burn a bit.
Volume: Medium or Less ONLY....this ball is not meant for heavy volume. Bowlers with slower speeds and higher revs might be able to use it on the heavier side of medium.
Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): I have used this ball on burned out house patterns and have practiced with it on well used sport patterns
COMMENTS: Those bowlers that like the smooth motion that urethane gives you, but hate how poorly they carry when you have to move in too much, this ball is going to be heaven for you.
Likes: I like this length and predictable breakpoint shape. And let me tell you, this ball pounds the pocket harder than most other companies highend equipment.
Dislikes: OIL. If you have a good amount of volume there are better choices to pick from, such as the HARD DRIVE.

This ball is awesome, it doesn’t over hook! Best Dry Lane ball ever! On a fresh house shot this ball gets thru the lane smooth. There are no surprises the ball does exactly what you want it to do, a nice clean reaction without giving up power behind one of the high end balls. This is a ball for everyone!!

Drill my Desert Hook with pin under bridge. Gotta love this ball when the heads go,this ball clears the heads with ease. Played straight up 5 on a house shot never missed the pocket and only had to move 3 boards almost unheard of these days.Great color combination of the copper and blue makes this ball a great piece of equipment going down the lane. Great ball for at the end of tournaments when nothing gets down the lane this ball will. It reminds me of a urethane ball on wood, smooth and controlable. This is a great addition to the hook line. Thanks 900Global for another great product.

Had this ball for a couple weeks now and absolutely love it. When the lanes are fried, and everyone else is moving left trying to clear the heads, I pull this ball out. It easily clears the heads and has a great backend reaction that sends 10 in the pit. Hard to find a great ball like this at this price point. 900 Global has got another winner!

The Desert Hook is just what it says it is, a true dry lane ball. This piece will bail you out when there are shorter patterns/blown up THS conditions. The best thing about it is that it goes through the pins well. Be sure to match it up on the proper condition because if there is carry down/oil it will not turn the corner. Great dry lane piece
