COMMENTS

About the Eagle Pearl: What a ball! If your looking for a very strong and angular asymmetrical ball this is it. This ball creates more angle than any other ball in the 900 Global line up for me. It is very good at opening up the lane when getting deep on a THS. If you've ever thrown a ball with the Eagle/Break core in it you know the great consistent and unique roll it gives. Nothing different here with the Eagle Pearl. If you haven't tried a ball with this core you are really missing out its a proven winner! The s70 pearl cover helps the ball down lane and gives a far stronger and more angular reaction in the back than you would see from the Black Eagle. This ball is going to fit all styles of bowlers on medium to medium-heavy oiled lanes. It will allow more rev dominant bowlers to open up the lane from deeper angles and will also give the speed dominant bowlers a consistent strong reaction that will help create area.

I have loved every ball in The Eagle line up thus far and I have not been disappointed by the The Eagle Pearl. I laid this ball out with 5 ¼ x 3 ½ x 4 1/4. My PAP is 5 1/8 right and 0 up/down. It laid out with pin below the fingers on my center line with the CG 2.5” right and 1” down from Center grip. MB 2” from the center of my thumb.  This is close to one of my favorite layouts and the ball is so much cleaner through the front part of lane and more angular than any eagle before it on the backend of the lane. I am able to play the break down on THS conditions with this ball much longer with the pearl cover stock without losing any backend motion. If you bowl on med-light house shot conditions this ball may be too much off the spot, but if you are looking for something in the med-heavy conditions don’t pass up on this ball because it is extremely versatile and hits like a truck! I shot 297 with this ball only having 3 games on it!

Likes:I layed this ball out with a 5 1/2 inch pin above the fingers with no hole. I think its the most angular of all the Eagle balls so far, it saves its energy for the midlanes and backends. Very clean through the front. For me the War Eagle wanted to start a lot sooner in the front and this ball is almost the opposite of this one. I think this ball even though it is very angular on the backend, I think this ball has a little less overall hook than some of the other eagle offerings. This ball reminds me alot of the old Ricochet Rebound in terms of look and overall ball shape. This ball looks like one I will be taking to the USBC for the singles and doubles portion of tournament. I really like the changes 900Global have made with RG on this one, it will suit heavier hand or higher rev players. If you want to fly high with your scores at the USBC in singles and doubles, you really need to think about having this one in your bag. Great job 900 Global!

41ft oil pattern
Volume on the heavy side, AMF synthetic

A pearl that reacts in oil! Drilled my Black Eagle Pearl 5 x 4 CG swung 2" right, weight hole.  Left OOB to start.  BIG time midlane reaction for me.  Really acts more like a solid.  Has midlane, doesn't squirt in carrydown, impressive backend.  Extremely angular ball motion.  Carry was excellent, especially as the lanes transitioned.  The more I moved left the better my carry got.  744 1st night out on THS.  Ball looks like it has a sheen finish, more like 4000 abralon.  Took a little hand polish to it.  The extra shine produced an even more pronounced flip on the backend.  If you liked the solid I think you'll love the pearl!  Great job 900 Global, a pearl version of a solid that stands on its own.

LANE CONDITION

Length:42t
Volume:med

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):
I drilled my eagle pearl pin up above Bridge. I currently have the the War Eagle with pin under. The eagle has landed with a great new pearl coverstock in which I have been waiting for. It was well worth the wait even though my War Eagle was was my go to ball I have to say WOW. Expectations were high on this ball and it delivered and plus some. With this ball I can play any part of the lane it is that is very versitle. The clears the heads with ease and when it stands up and reads it goes with a little more of an angular motion and hits like a truck. It allows you to open up the lane even more than the War Eagle.  This ball is a must have if you have any of the eagle line in your bag believe me you won`t be disappointed. Thanks 900global for a great addition to your already strong line of balls.

I have been waiting for this ball for a long time and it is finally here “The Pearl Black Eagle”. This ball is amazing, I laid this ball out with 5 ¼ x 3 ½ x 4 ¼, my PAP is 5 3/8 right and ¾ down. I drilled the ball with the pin slightly above and parallel to my fingers with the CG 1-3/8”” right and ½” down from Center grip. The MB was located directly below the center of my thumb and the weight hole was 5-3/8” right and parallel to my thumb. This is close to one of my favorite layouts and the ball is so much cleaner through the front part of lane and more angular than any eagle before it on the backend of the lane. I used this ball on a fresh 40’ house pattern, had to start a little right but was able to chase the shot in without changing balls. This Pearl Eagle never lost any backend motion. The net result for the first night outing 735 for three games this ball is a keeper. This ball is extremely versatile and will fit all game styles from the high rev player to the low rev player. This is a must Pearl for everyone.

T-Minus 900 pins before the Eagle Pearl has finished it's course around the pocket!! This is truly the one ball on the market right now that has the potential (with a little luck) of achieving a perfect set. This piece recovers well from all parts of the lane, and looks pretty great doing it. The black cover with a "silver lining" looks very appealing to most bowlers. The greatly coveted S70 pearl cover has worked awesome with the whole Eagle line so far, so WHY STOP THERE? Drilled mine for good length, with a devious snap off the dry. Strikes and 8 pins are the result. Pretty sure I can walk into a tournament with all four Eagles, and just flat out WIN. Drilled 55 x 4 7/8 x 50 OOB

The Eagle Pearl is the next great ball in the Eagle Line.  I have waited for this one since I drilled my first Eagle(purple).  This ball glides though the heads and picks up strong in the later mid lane giving the ball a strong arc but not quite a flipping motion into the pocket making it much easier to read than a traditional pearl.

I have used this on THS and Sport patterns and I have found the ball to be quite responsive and the carry has been outstanding.  No lack of lines to play with this Eagle either as I have been able to go up the back of the ball and play straighter in the track or I can get around it an send the ball from inside the fourth arrow to any point right on the lane not worrying about it getting back.

Another Hit from the guy's at 900 Global.

When I heard 900 Global was coming out with a Black Eagle Pearl, I could not have been happier.  I've loved each of the Eagle releases and this one is no different.  The Black Eagle Pearl and the S70 pearl cover gets the ball down lane with ease with a very strong angular back end reaction, and puts 10 in the pit with ease.  Great ball for all styles of bowlers.  Another winner from 900 Global!

What's not to like about this piece. The Eagle Pearl picks up where the Original Break Pearl left off. You get a clean consistent reaction through the heads and turns the corner like no other. It honestly is hard to think of a ball with this core that hasn't been good. Thank you Global, don't be afraid to make a Hybrid Eagle or throwing a weak cover with this core!

COMMENTS

Clean through the heads and predictable ball motion. Back end is very strong and continuous through the pin deck. You can't go wrong with the S70 cover and break" core combination. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This ball for me is longer than the Incinerate Pearl, but a stronger backend motion. I cannot recommended this ball for anything less than medium volume or short oil. Don't be afraid to move left and open the lane up. Another proven winner from 900 Global!
