Title: Equilibrium
Post by: BallReviews-scodaddy21 on January 30, 2020, 10:46:14 AM
The 900Global Equilibrium upper-mid performance bowling ball uses the proven S74R Hybrid coverstock. This coverstock was designed to balance the ball's traction in oil and increase its performance at the backend. The Equilibrium uses the Inverted Dome Symmetric Core and provides more aggressive RG and Differential numbers. This ball was designed to perform well on medium to heavy oil lanes.

Color: Maroon/Plum

This has became my favorite ball in the few moments of throwing it. Smooth down the lane and reads great off the break point... Haven't had any problems getting out corner pins and will send pins flying around the deck... TRUST this will be one of your favorites

The Equilibrium is a combination of successful core and staple coverstock along with a couple of outstanding additions and tweaks. Let’s get right to it.

900 Global had serious success with inverting the Grapnel Asymmetric Core as found in the Money Badger Series – so it was inevitable to further that success with their Equilibrium’s Inverted Dome Symmetrical Core. By inverting the core and modifying its densities to create stronger RG/Differential numbers this ball had a decisively predictable motion down lane, yet was smooth from release to the exit point. Upon exit, I found a welcomed margin of error in a symmetrical weight block ball that is not typically seen in my higher speed/low rev players. I had a new look and I liked it!

The S74R Coverstock was brilliantly proven in the Inception and Truth bowling balls. And now that famous formula has been added to a Hybrid Coverstock! This cover blends patterns brilliantly when they start breaking down, yet offers a strong bite and traction in mid to heavy  oil volumes. Being rev-challenged, surface is my friend and the S74R Hybrid Coverstock reacted quite nicely. On a THS (typical house shot), I cut the surface to 1500 grit polished and enjoyed staying in my comfort zone. On medium to heavy burning patterns, 2000 grit blended the lanes smoothly and provided a stable motion I could trust.

900 Global has done an impressive job with the Equilibrium. For a high speed/low rev player, this combination of symmetrical core and hybrid coverstock will be a welcomed asset to your arsenal - especially when the “no-weight hole” rule goes into effect later this year.

Layout: 90 x 4 x 40
Pin position: Above ring finger

The first thing I noticed about this ball was the cover appearing duller than the 4000 grit it is listed at and that caused me to be a little weary. However, don't let it fool you as the hybrid cover still gets down the lane well and the symmetric core provides a very stable, controlled, and predictable reaction time after time. Great benchmark ball for all conditions and I am looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this ball in the coming months.
