900 Global’s new Eternity PI is a Solid Asymmetrical piece that is good for Heavy Oil conditions. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin up between the fingers, CG kicked out 1†from the palm, and the Mass Bias 1/2†to the Right of the Thumb. Out of Box ball motion started early in the mids with a smooth backend motion. I compared this to Reality. Reality (Asym) was a few boards right but with a more continuous backend motion than the PI.

The Eternity PI is the newest edition in 900 Global’s 900 line this year. With the proven Epoch core, the PI is wrapped in the new Reserve Blend 901 coverstock which is slightly cleaner and more responsive downlane than the successful Reality. I drilled my Eternity PI 4.75x4x4.25 which is the same layout that is on my Clone and Reality. The Eternity PI fits in between the Reality and the Clone. It is 3-4ft cleaner and angular than the Reality, but not as clean and angular as the Clone at the same surface. The PI is going to be a good piece when the Reality is too early but a big asymmetric ball is still needed. Go pick yours up at your Local Storm VIP Proshop today!

This ball is STRONG!!! When there is a heavy volume of oil this is the ball for you. This ball reminds me a lot of the Super Nova when it comes to ball motion. The strong core and cover combo makes this ball grab the lane early but still stores enough energy to drive through the pins with power. I did notice this ball lane shines up quite quickly so you may want to adjust the cover if you’re looking to keep the ball rolling early.

The 900 Global Eternity Pi utilizes the Reserve Blend 901 solid cover combined with the Epoch Asymmetric Core to give you the strongest ball in the 900 Global line. Yes, I believe its stronger than the Reality. I drilled my Eternity Pi pin up, which enable the ball to roll through the fronts with a lot of energy coming off the break point and going through pins. I tested this ball on 44 feet typical house pattern. As a mid to low rev player, I see this ball being my first choice on heavy oil patterns. I was able to play outside five, the track area, and deep inside without any loss of ball reaction or pin carry. This is a great ball for all levels of bowlers. This is one of those asymmetric's you will want in your bag. Strong core combined with a cleaner cover, the PI will provide plenty of read and continuation for those medium to higher volume patterns. The PI sits on the cleaner side versus the Gem and DNA which is a great option if you're looking for the stronger ball without having such an early read on the lane. I drilled mine pin down for the video and was able to keep may angles both closed and open which showed the versatility of the ball. I already drilled another one of with a pin up layout which I plan to throw to get deeper on the lane for the ball to pick up sooner and play more left to right.

The Eternity Pi is the newest powerhouse option for heavy oil performance in the 900 Global lineup. The Reserve Blend 901 Solid Cover was specifically designed to provide bowlers with a different look when compared to the S84 Response and when combined with the Epoch Asymmetric Core, this new offering will give you a heavy oil ball with a completely different motion than the still very popular Reality. The Eternity Pi gave me an excellent look sliding on 23, looking 13 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 8-9. When compared to the Reality, I was able to stand and look in the same place, but the Pi was cleaner through the fronts and had more down lane motion. The all new Eternity Pi is a great ball for players who like a strong continuous motion with a symmetric core. Typically, I do not have a lot of success with bigger asymmetric bowling balls, however, this ball seems to dance the fine line between strong, early motion and downlane shape. Even when you move left with this ball it still continues through the pins where usually strong asymmetric balls like this lock up. I have been able to see a large amount of success from a variety of people with this ball and I have no doubt there will be tons of success to come! Go out and get yours today!

Well, well, well.....Do you need a ball for heavy oil? Wow this ball is amazing! Right out of the box, on a house shot, 740. You could tell it read the mid lane very well. I had to make sure I kept the speed up...I'm 50 lol. Stood 28 to start off and threw 16-17 at the arrows. Then tried to get it out to around 7-8 at the break point, and yeah it hooks! It was nice seeing a solid Asymmetric ball read the back ends like this ball does! 900 Global did it with this ball! Amazed! I finished the 3rd game standing 32 and looking at 20-21. The new 901 cover with the Epoch Asymmetric Core. This ball sums it up. All I can say is you have to make sure you have enough mid lane oil for this ball. It has more back end then the Reality. Two words for this ball "Oil Friendly" ;)

900 Global developed the Epoch Core in the original Eternity, and it is a well-designed muscular asymmetric core. The Reserve Blend 901 Solid Reactive coverstock is ideal for a straighter player like me. And the out-of-the-box 2000-grit Abralon surface was a perfect match for my game! I loved the gritty attack the 901 Reserve Blend had in the front part of the lane while still having a smoothly blended traction in the mid-lane. And the best part of what I saw with the Reserve Blend 901 was the forgiveness it provided!
I loved how the Reserve Blend 901's forgiving mid-lane motion brought my Eternity Pi back to the pocket, even when I leaked one far right. And when I tugged one inside, I loved how the 901 Reserve Blend Solid stayed consistent as it cut through the heavy oil in the center of the lane. Lastly, when you are trying to get around those high-rev urethane players or navigating those late-night broken-down conditions, you can trust the Reserve Blend 901 Solid Reactive coverstock to blend the conditions. Allowing you to keep you rolling you're A-game all night long!
So, in conclusion, 900 Global has knocked one out of the park with the Eternity Pi. Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the 900 Global Eternity Pi.
In 14 pounds this ball is wrapped in Reserve Blend 901 Solid Cover and comes with a 2000 grit finish with the Epoch Asymmetric Core from the original Eternity and has an RG of 2.51, Diff of .044, and a PSA of .011.
The layout for this ball is 4.5x4x2.5
The all-new Pi is gonna be for anyone who likes that strong continuous “chuggy†motion. I never threw the original Eternity but that was a shiny ball that gave a different look as it used the previous S84 Response cover. The Pi has the 901 solid cover and with the 2000 grit will have a larger footprint on the lane and dig in the oil. I find this ball being first out of my bag and in league, I can stay in it for about two games before having to go to something like the Clone or Blackout. This ball will be a hit on the tournament side as well. It is a great cover/core balance in an Asym ball.

900 Global Eternity Pi Ball Review by PJ Haggerty
The newest addition to the 900 batch line at 900 Global is the Eternity Pi. After having a ton of success with the original Eternity, I was excited to see a solid version be created. The Pi features the Reserve Blend 901 cover and the Epoch asymmetrical core, producing one of the strongest balls I’ve ever thrown. This monster flares a ton, never stops going through the pins, and rolls great. With an RG of 2.49, differential of .050, and PSA of .014, you can bet this will be the strongest ball in your bag.
I’ve drilled one so far and love it. The one I drilled is mapped out as 5 x 3.5 x 70. This puts the pin below my bridge and the mass bias just to the right of my thumb. Out of the box, the Pi didn’t make it to the arrows before it started to change direction, so I put it on the spinner with water and a 4000 pad. That made a huge difference. It created length, stored more energy, and went through the pins great. If I know I’m going to bowl on a pattern with a good amount of volume, the Pi is in my bag. It’s been a great compliment and much different than my Zen Gold Label and Xponent.
If you need to add a super strong, heavy rolling ball to your bag, the Eternity Pi from 900 Global should be the next ball you drill.

The Eternity Pi features an all new solid cover that provides a step up from the original pearl Eternity. While the original Eternity was a pearl, it was smooth, heavy rolling and controllable. The Pi provides that same familiar shape, but in a package that is better suited for heavy oil and fresh lanes. The Pi keeps its axis surprisingly well, providing a nice compliment to the other solid asym in our line that is slightly cleaner and more continuous than the Gem or Reality. If you are slightly rev dominant or looking for a solid asym that is a bit more responsive than similar pieces in our line, the Pi is the ball for you!

Review:
The 900 Global Eternity Pi features a crafted cover design that is slightly cleaner than the S84 Response cover that was featured on the Reality. In addition, S84 was featured on the Eternity as well. This change will differentiate reaction from your Reality and other big asym balls by providing extra length in your solid coverstocks.
At recent MatchMaker events I worked showed the Eternity Pi is a top choice for bowlers. For my review I tested the ball on two fresh house shots at two different centers along with the Reality. The Eternity Pi is a nice compliment to your bigger asym balls by giving you that touch of length I noted above. I will also say I feel the Eternity Pi is better than the Eternity due to the cover being a nice upgrade. For me, at times, the Eternity would burn up a touch earlier than anticipated even with it having a pearl coverstock.
I am most impressed that the ball easily glides through the front part of the lane and was very balanced in terms of hook off the spot and entering the roll phase. Many times you'll see asyms "quit" and roll weaker off the spot then we like to see. The Eternity Pi does not do that and should provide a nice range of angles to attack the pocket.
For me, the Eternity Pi may require a small surface up adjustment on the two house patterns I tested it on. This is simply due to my slower ball speed so any help through the front part of the lane generally helps me out. However, for most players the Eternity Pi will work with the OOB finish provided. Review:
This ball took me a bit to get comfortable with, but the more I get a feel for the motion and the way it reads the lane the more I like it. The first time I rolled the PI was on a dryer house shot. The ball read too early and did not do much down lane because it used too much energy early. The next outing was on a beat up messy shot and only weak smooth equipment worked. Then I found the right condition at another house where I bowl. This center prides itself on shot making and not giving you an easy condition. The pattern is a modified house shot and feels more like a sport pattern. I tried to Eternity PI and it was just what I needed. The gritty 2000 surface overcame the slick heads and I was able to swing the ball to a spot and this power house came back and drove hard through the pins. Once I saw the area this muscular ball gave me my arm swing loosened up and scoring was easy on this tough pattern. This ball fits just under my Original Gem and is stronger than my Phase 2. The Eternity PI has a heavy roll and on the right condition it will give you confidence and hit.
Summary:
The Eternity PI is a good looking strong ball.
This Ball needs head oil for best results.
The Eternity PI will be great on heavy oiled difficult patterns.

The 900 Global Eternity Pi is the newest 900 series ball. The Pi features the same Epoch core found in the OG Eternity but is now wrapped in batch 901 solid. The Eternity for me was great when I needed a bigger clean asym that I had to keep in front of me. The Pi combines all the traction I had with the Eternity but now provides more overall shape. The Pi is visibly cleaner and quicker than the Reality and I do not see much overlap, if any.

Hello everyone and welcome to another Beyond the Arrows Ball Reviews brought to you by Striking Results Pro Shop, Bowlifi and Turbo 2 n 1 Grips, today we will be reviewing the new 900 Global Eternity Pi.
The Eternity Pi has a low RG value of 2.49 a medium differential of 0.050 and a medium intermediate differential of 0.014.
900 Global came out with a brand-new 901 Reserve Blend cover that is mixture of technology from the San Antonio, TX plant and Brigham City, UT plant. The new cover is wrapped around the Epoch Asymmetric core that we have previously seen in the Eternity.
The Epoch Asymmetric Core from the original Eternity makes its return to the Global arsenal. With a design inspired by the original Break Core found in so many classic Global releases, this core gives the player that great asymmetric shape on the lanes. Additionally, the moderate amount of intermediate differential will keep the core from “locking up†or losing energy too quickly.
I did a ball comparison to the 900 Global Eternity and the 900 Global Reality at 42 ft house shot, 25 ml of oil. The layout chosen 45 x 5 x 30. 4000 Grit used for review.
In comparison to the 900 Global Eternity, the Eternity Pi starts up quicker and really digs into the lane but remains clean in the mid lane and continuous in the back end verses the Eternity which is clean thorough the fronts and mids but is sharper on the backend. The Pi will be great when you have to move left because it will still be clean through the mids but still come around the corner.
In comparison to the 900 Global Reality, The Pi doesn’t hook as much as the Reality as the Reality is more angular on the backend verses the Pi which is a couple of boards weaker. What you can do is keep the Reality at 1000 or 2000 as your heavy volume ball and put the Pi at 3000 or 4000 that way you can have something strong for the fresh when the angles are straighter, and keep the ball more in front of you which is paramount out there on tour our on the heavy or medium-heavy sport patterns.
As per the surface adjustments, the Eternity Pi’s box surface is 2000
For me I used 4000 because ethe conditions Im on are not that heavy but I can still use the ball at a higher surface and take advantage of its strong attributes.

Comes fresh from Utah with a 2000 grit finish on the cover.
I tested with a fresh 3000 grit Vise pad and then changed the surface to the all new Storm rough cut and rough edge and smooth edge finishing compounds.
At factory finish, the Eternity Pi was super gritty and the ball changed motions a lot quicker than I would like for myself. The ball is very muscular in design strength, so with an overabundance of revs and the lack of speed, I changed the surface to 3000. That did help the Eternity Pi go further down the lane, but still a little early and large motion for me. At that point, I went to the pro shop and used a small dab of rough edge for each quarter of the ball for about 30 seconds each quarter, then applied smooth edge the same way, about 30 seconds on each quarter. The last surface change was MONEY for me! If you go to my YouTube channel, you can watch and witness the change this finally did for me. I can get deeper and more open with this ball where the Storm Virtual Energy Blackout would now be a step down in my bag. The VE Blackout was the strongest overall piece I used regularly, but NOW the Eternity Pi is that beast!

The Eternity Pi is 900 Global's new heavy oil, high performance bowling ball. The long running 900 Global heavy oil option is the Reality. The Pi is meant to provide a different motion than the Reality with its new Reserve Blend 901 Cover wrapped around the Epoch Asymmetric Core. The Pi is designed to be cleaner than the Reality but provide more teeth in the oil than the original Eternity. The Eternity Pi is 900 Globals new release in the Eternity line. It’s our new big asymmetrical solid with our Reserve Blend 901 Solid Cover along with the Epoch core which was in the original Eternity. With the success I had with the Eternity, this one was at the top of the list for drilling next and it does not disappoint. It’s very early, continuous and controllable. Definitely a game one killer!

The 900 Global Eternity Pi is crazy strong! Generally for a ball like this I would usually do 5 x 4 x 2 which is one of my favorite strong pin up drillings for many different balls but wanted to see how it would be with 5 x 4 x 1.5 and WOW it has such a strong motion down lane with the 1.5 buffer which I usually don’t do but glad I did to see how strong this ball can be and it is more than I expected for the Eternity line.
For me being a lefty I was expecting to be able to use the Eternity Pi with the factory 2000 finish but it is really too strong even on a fresh house shot with my speed being 17 MPH at the pins. I was able to get a game with it then would have to put it away plus having to stand 25-30 and pitching it far left just gets you into trouble on a house shot with this type of ball. I added polished to see if I can get a lil more length and I did but its too much angle and leaving too many corner pins. This is for sure a ball that needs oil or if your really speed dominate on a house shot then you can for sure use this ball. It has great potential and excited to try it more on different patterns.

The new 900 Global Eternity Pi features the Reserve Blend 901 solid coverstock combined with the Epoch asymmetrical core. At 15 pounds the RG is 2.49 with a differential of .050 and an intermediate differential of .014. The Eternity Pi is much stronger than the original Eternity. This is of course due to the solid cover stock on the Pi compared to the pearl Eternity. The Pi starts up very early, reading the lane a good 3 to 5 feet sooner than the original Eternity, and has a strong continuous motion down the lane. The Pi is an even stronger heavy oil option than the 900 Global Reality. The Pi hooks about 2 to 3 boards more than the Reality and has more controlled backend motion than the Reality. If you bowl on longer, heavier patterns, the new Etenity Pi is the ball you need to have in your bag!

The Eternity Pi is a new solid Eternity! I liked the OG Eternity but it was a little hook stoppy at times. The Pi picks up earlier and rounds off and continues a lot better being a solid! I love the combination of early roll and continuation with the core which I thought was a slower core anyway and lent itself more towards a solid version. The Eternity PI is a very usable aysm solid from 900 Global that I can see myself using on sport and shim alike.

The Eternity Pi is a new asymmetric ball in 900 Global’s 900 Series line. It features the new Reserve Blend 901 Solid coverstock, which feels similar to the previous S84 solid cover stock used in this line on the original Reality. The core is the Epoch core from the original Eternity which comes in at a 2.49 RG, a .050 differential, and a .014 intermediate differential in 15 pounds. The Eternity Pi acts exactly like you’d expect on paper, it’s a stronger, earlier, and smoother version of the original Eternity. This ball has been used on several different conditions with a couple different surfaces. The surface was initially adjusted from box down to 1000 grit on a resurfacing machine, then finished with Reacta Skuff to get it up to a 3000ish grit sheen. The result was a fairly clean but stable reaction up front, with a firm, tumbly, directional finish down lane.
The Pi reminds me of a few recent balls, it’s like an earlier and smoother Super Nova or stronger Nova, but it also reminds me of some throwback balls, most notably the Crux, Lock, and Alpha Crux. It’s comfortably lengthy, it gets traction and controls the midlane without starting to HOOK or move too early, and the finish downlane is the right blend of response and control. It punches hard enough to get the pins down, but is controllable enough that you won’t have to fight an overly strong backend move. It’s also somewhat directional, meaning that it goes in the direction you roll it. It’s not predominantly continuous, but it’s also not predominantly forward. It’s not quite as strong of a ball as a Gem or a DNA, it’s in a more frequently usable zone while still handling heavy oil well. No worries of overlap with the Reality, the shapes are completely different, the Reality is more like a stronger Phaze 2 or XPonent, while the Pi is more like a stronger Summit.

The Eternity Pi is a ball I was looking forward to after the original Eternity was so good. The same Epoch asymmetrical core wrapped in the new Reserve Blend 901 solid Coverstock. I tend to like big asymmetrical solids so one with a core I like will usually roll well.
I find this ball to be sharper off the spot then my DNA. Still not a quick response but gives more on the back. Definitely a ball that needs to see some oil but has some versatility. I tend to use it for straighter angles on tighter shots but have also seen teammates use it from much farther left and have success. For me, when the DNA is too smooth I can use the Pi to give me a little more. If you are looking for a ball that will dig in when you need it to, the Pi is for you.

Excited to drill up the Eternity PI, big core and cover. I needed a big asymmetrical to play straighter with, thus the layout I chose fits my tweener style. I did change to cover to 4000 abralon (no polished) and allowed it to lane shine.
Super rolly but pushes down lane on the fresh with ease. Something I would use before the THS starts to transition. Compared to my Reality it's a little earlier (layout) but not as sharp. The shape I get and see fits as my first ball out the bag and will definitely do its job at the pins. I have bowled on a heavier 42' and was able to keep my angles tighter while still playing the track area.

The addition to the 900 Global line is the Eternity PI. It comes with the Epoch Asymmetric Core from the original Eternity with the ALL-NEW Reserve Blend 901 Cover. I drilled mine with a 3 x 6 x 2 layout. First impressions was wow this ball is strong!. The solid cover really allows the PI to dig in early and keep going. I needed something to bowl on the short and or flatter patterns. I added some Storm step 2 to the surface to give me a little more length for my medium speed. I have had the most success on the shorter sport patterns of lengths less than 40ft. It gave me that heavy roll and control especially on when the backends are very clean. I can also use it on house or the medium to long patterns, but I need to hit the cover with 1000-2000 abralon pad. Very versatile ball.
Its right up with other big asymmetrical the Reality, Gem's, Nova's. But the PI is has a little unique ball motion. For me the PI carries real well also in keeping the pins low.
The PI is above the Phaze II , Zens and TNT line and maybe not as early as the Gems but just as strong just a little different ball motion.

The newest release in the 900 series line from 900 Global is the Eternity Pi, which is the solid iteration of the Eternity that has been a staple in many bowler’s arsenal since it was introduced. The Eternity Pi features the same Epoch asymmetrical core found in the Eternity, but is wrapped in the new Reserve Blend 901 solid reactive cover. Taken together with this powerhouse of a core and gritty solid cover, the Eternity Pi is designed to be the heavy-oil ball at the top of your arsenal.
As you’d expect, the Eternity Pi is much stronger overall than the original Eternity thanks to the solid cover. However, much like the original Eternity, the Pi is still really good at clearing the front part of the lane before digging in and reading the midlane, this helps the Pi retain energy and produce a strong and continuous backend motion. Because strong, solid asymmetric balls tend to hook so early it’s rare to see much defined motion on the backend, but the Eternity Pi bucks that trend and provides a nice amount of shape on the backend for strong ball. By comparison, the Reality has a slightly stronger core which helps it read the lane earlier, and therefore, it’s a bit smoother downlane compared to the Pi. Even though both the Reality and Eternity Pi are both designed for heavier oil, the team at 900 Global did a great job in making sure both balls provide a different motion on the lane.
The Eternity Pi provides a unique motion for a top-of-the-line, heavy oil ball by providing a more defined motion on the backend compared to what you typically see from heavy-oil balls. Eternity Pi is a great addition to the 900 Global lineup and if Zen Gold Label, Xponent, and/or Eternity are already in your bag then you need to round out the top of your arsenal with an Eternity Pi.

The original Eternity was a huge success and hit with bowlers of all levels. It was only a matter of time before a cover stock variation came out that would be equally as successful. The Eternity PI is a solid version of the very popular pearl version of the Eternity. In my opinion the Eternity PI is a much smoother version of the Reality. Allowing for more of a roll and smooth arc type motion. This ball is the first out of my bag and really allows me to dig into the lanes when the lanes are on a little oilier side of spectrum. If you are looking for a good asymmetric solid with a great color combination look no further, then the Eternity PI.

I drilled up my 900 GLOBAL ETERNITY PI with a strong layout of 4.5 x 3.5 x 2. This puts the pin above my ring finger and the MB just slightly above my thumb at a 2 o clock orientation. I have thrown it out of the box which is 2000 and touched it up again with a 2000 CTD pad which is the same as a 1500 SiaAir pad.
I put this one up with my stronger balls that I use when I see a slicker or longer pattern. I threw it against my EXOTIC GEM, REALITY, and DNA. Compared right away to these, the PI was longer thru the fronts other than the EXOTIC which has a pearl cover. My DNA was earlier and smoother while the REALITY got more length and a rounder motion while the PI was stronger down lane than either. The EXOTIC was the ball to move down with when the transition hit as it cleared the fronts better than the PI. The EXOTIC's motion was comparable to the PI in the back of the lane.
Put this one in your bag if your looking for a stronger piece that clears the fronts better than the duller pieces but is not too straight like the pearls can be out of the gate.

The Eternity Pi is definitely a different option to the Reality. To me the differences are that the Pi is quite a bit stronger, gets down lane further and has a stronger backend. What I really like about the Pi is it's not like every other big solid Asym ball that I have thrown, this does not puke out when the lanes dry out. The Pi will react off of the dry and give a good read. What else I like about this ball is if you have wet dry conditions and you tug into the pond it will still react on the back end as well. This is probably the best solid Asym ball that I have thrown right next to the Reality.

With the release of the Eternity Pi I was sure how strong this ball would be compared to the Reality. So I chose a weaker layout to give the stronger asymmetrical core some length and if the 901 Reserve Blend cover was weaker than the S84 Response for me I could just add surface to make it read the oil sooner. This ball is an early rolling asymmetrical piece but the 901 Reserve Blend cover is cleaner and smoother for me so give the ball some length.
The out of box finish gave me a lot of over under on the local house shots since the centers use lower volumes and the fronts tend to go during league. After making my video review I did adjust the surface to 1000 abralon by hand and this eliminated any over/ under reaction. The 1000 grit helped me blend the wet/dry and I was able to move left into more oil. This ball is slightly weaker and more responsive off the dry than the Reality for me.

This ball is the definition of big, strong, rolly, asym solid. When you hear of a ball that just rolls hard and rolls early, this is exactly that. For me, the only success ive had with it is when theres a significant amount of oil on sport patterns, it just hooks too much and too early for normal house shot conditions for my game. But i have seen it work amazing well for low rev or speed dominant players because it gives the ball a chance to slow down and hook and they can play their game much easier. So i think its the perfect option if youre a bowler like that or if you bowl on a slicker/heavier condition. Its definitely strong to be first ball out of the bag material and can be pretty versatile with different layouts or surface changes. Mine stays at 500 abralon grit for sport shots but ive tried it with some shine on a heavy house shot and found some success.

I drilled mine 5x3x5 to have as much control as possible which proved to be the case. For me, it's a tumbly end over end motion that I am able to keep in front of me, and also chase in just about as far as I want as long as I can find enough head oil due to the flare lines being a little tighter so a little more energy is conserved. GREAT option for speed/rev matched players who like to start in something readable and continuous. Out of the box, it may not be enough for speed dominant players without a slight surface adjustment. It's a great complement to the Eternity, which I saw as very angular and responsive. Overall a very worthy counterpart to the original Eternity. Compared to the Reality, I actually see the Pi as a little less motion overall, a little cleaner and a little smoother down the lane. You could conceivably fit both into one arsenal if you are looking for very specific motions or bowling on a lot of patterns.

I was looking for a bigger asymmetrical to help blend out some issues I’ve been having with wet/dry conditions. Used a variation of my normal benchmark layout moving the pin buffer to 3.5 inches which puts it inside my ring finger. With the surface adjustment, I had no issues getting the ball through the fronts with my slow ball speed and forward roll. Ball made a predictable move to the pocket with continuation.
If I get on a heavier pattern, I see no issues with pulling out an abralon pad and taking the surface down. For me, I found it more useful than the Reality. I’d drilled a couple of those and never seemed to match up. That ball was slow for me and didn’t continue nearly as well as the PI.
As with any bigger asymmetrical ball, know when to put it up. My progression has been from the PI to the Virtual Energy Blackout. Creating a very complimentary 1-2 punch as the PI starts to burn up. The ball seems to have a good window for a variety of players and styles. Another great release from the Global team.

This ball grabs!! The Pi might have the most midlane traction of any ball I've ever had. You better have a good bit of oil up front for this beast; it is at home on fresh or long oil conditions, whether it be house or sport shots. This is the type of ball I want for the first game at USBC Nationals, for sure. It digs in the midlane but doesn't quit; the continuation is fantastic as long as the conditions are right. Once the lanes start drying up, it is time to put the Pi away and go to something like an Eternity or Summit. The closest comparison to the Eternity Pi would be the Gem, though I think the Gem rolls just a touch earlier.

Definitely made for oil! An absolute great addition to the 900 Global line. You'll be surprised by the amount of motion this ball has down lane with a ton of continuation. Definitely more then the majority of balls in this category. It's ability to create some angle will allow.you to stay with this ball a bit longer then others in this category.

Likes: The Eternity Pi is the newest iteration to the Eternity line. The Pi features the same core and coverstock as the original Eternity except the Pi is the solid version. Because the Pi has the solid cover it is a little earlier and smoother than the original Eternity. Although for a solid asymmetric I wouldn’t define it as slow and smooth. Compared to other ones the Pi is definitely a little cleaner and more continuous. For example the Gem series from Roto Grip is known for being very strong and pretty early and smooth. The thing I love most about the Pi is that it is one of the very few solid asyms that I can move way in with and it still gets through the pins like a symmetric. Which is very hard to find! So if you currently own a Gem and another stronger asym and need a choice off of it that goes a tad longer and more continuous through the pins then look no further than the Eternity Pi!

The Pi is a big solid Asymmetrical ball that I see working best on medium-heavy to heavy conditions. The 901 solid cover is super strong and is a good combination strength and shape. The low rg asymm core combined with the big cover, makes the Pi a medium response high end ball for sure. I have found that the Pi is best when the on the fresh and on higher volume oil patterns. Once the lanes start to transition, the Pi will just flat out hook too much.
