Honey Badger Extreme; Solid: Tour Plus 750 Series

The Honey Badger Extreme (Tour Plus 750 Series) is simply EXPLOSIVE.  The Honey Badger Extreme “Solid” = a steamrolling, pin wrecking monster!  900 Global hits a ferocious giant with this series, especially in the 14 and 15 pound weights, so let’s take a closer look at the solid version!

The heart of a bowling ball is its core.  900 Global took it’s highly successful 2-piece Grapnel Asymmetric Core (found in the original Honey Badger) and added an outer core. This added core “increases the dynamic integrity across the weights.”  Hello! My interpretation of this after rolling a 15 lb. ball; it hits like a 16 lb. steamrolling machine!  It simply rolls hard and hits with serious authority!  This core clearly amplifies the strongest of pin reactions in a lighter weight ball!

Let’s talk about the S74R Solid Coverstock.  This cover was made famous by the 900 Global Inception and Truth line. This proven solid reactive cover is brilliantly added to the Honey Badger Extreme Solid.  It has a biting traction in the heads yet provides a purely smooth roll of the pattern.  Normally being a higher speed and slower rev player I would want to tweak the surface. On a THS, the 2000 grit box surface suited my game without any adjustment needed. On a longer more “wet” pattern, a simple cut to 1500 made this cover adaptable to different lane conditions quite easily.  This is an added plus to those who need “surface” to enhance their game.

My final thoughts on the 900 Global “Honey Badger Extreme” Solid are I am very excited and thrilled! While not every shot can be a strike, 900 Global increases your chances with the combination of their new outer core design and a well proven coverstock! Specifically to those players who are high speed, low rev and those bowlers who enjoy playing down and in.  The 14lb. and 15lb. players will clearly see a difference in their ball motion and all 14lb. 15lb., and 16.lb players will enjoy the dancing pin reaction this winning combination provides. Talk to your local Pro Shop operator today. It will be worth having the conversation!

Honey Badger Extreme Solid
A great compliment to the Honey badger Extreme pearl
Just like the pearl version this ball is very versatile, handles medium-heavy
lane conditions with no problem. Start with the solid and go to the pearl if necessary.
Your favorite layout will work fine. I drilled mine strong which enables me to play deeper as the lanes start to transition. Control is on display for the Honey Badger Extreme Solid, hits hard and sprays pins everywhere. Right now, it’s the first ball out of my bag.
Get one for your bag.

Likes: Honey Badger Extreme Solid.....O yes, what a great ball for the oil, rolls great pretty much the whole lane. Great for the oil, and if you dont want to move any, then you can grab the Extreme Pearl. Normally stand around 25-30 then try to shoot around 15-18 at the arrows...this ball loves the lane. if you get a chance to use it, why not??? I left the ball as it is right out of the box.

Dislikes: none yes!!!

Honey Badger Extreme Solid
Coverstock: S74R Solid
Finish: 2000 Abralon
Core: 3-Piece Grapnel Asymmetric Core
RG: 2.54
Differential: 0.053
Int Diff: 0.011
Layout: 30x5x40
PAP: 4.75 over

The Honey Badger Extreme Solid is a ball that offers plenty of control in the front of the lane because it has the Solid S74R cover at 2000, while retaining plenty of down lane hook thanks to the 3-Piece Grapnel Asymmetric Core. I can throw this ball on a variety of shots at various angles while retaining carry. The cover on this ball is super receptive to surface changes. I’ve shot some respectable sets with surface and with lane shine. It’s also worth noting that because this ball is asymmetric, your PSO will be able to put your mass bias in the proper location (while not having utilize a weight hole) to customize the right amount of skid for your game so that you can play all areas of the lane. The cover, core, and specs of the Honey Badger Extreme Solid equate to a perfect benchmark ball for a variety of bowlers.
