Ladies, this is a must have for you!!! The Vixen is the newest addition to the 900 Global line specifically designed for women, or slower ball speeds without a lot of “cranking”.  A sharp, attractive look with a nice polished surface, this ball fits my style of bowling perfectly for when the lanes are dry.  With a faster ball speed and a down-and-in shot, this has become my go-to ball when the shot is dry to medium.  For female with slower ball speed, it’s a great ball because it gets down the lane with a skid-flip reaction that finishes up in the pocket. This is a great benchmark ball, especially for those women who just began throwing reactive equipment. This is the step up in bringing your game to the next level!

I drilled my Vixen Pin Axes and what a pleasant surprise, the ball skids down the lane and makes a smooth arc to the pocket. I throw this on a 40 foot house shot up 10 for four games and never shot under 223. This ball will be great for women with lower speed looking for a ball that will get down the lane but finish hard enough to carry. Guys don't sleep on this ball as I have the second Jewel and have shot 2-300's and a 815 on a over /under tournament condition. Good Luck and keep hitting them hard.JMD878

Length: 40feet

Volume: Light/Medium

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): House Shot

Even though Global designed the Vixen for the female bowler, I have found this ball to be a key part of my arsenal.  The S65 coverstock allows for you to clear the heads, start up in the mids and have a few sharp but predictable back end reaction.
The cover and block combination allow bowlers with lower rev rates to still get a ball to flip over and drive through the pins hard.
Global also hit a homerun with the color combination of Cherry and Violet.  Don’t the name fool you guys, the Vixen is a ball that for everyone.  If you need a ball to clean the fronts and hit hard in the back ends this is the one for you!

Likes: Color Combination and strong Back end Reaction

Dislikes: Nothing at all

The Vixen is geared towards women?!  Cmon!  We all need more of this reaction big time.  This new release reminded me of both previous Jewel's.  A little midlane as the 1st had for me and a little of the snap of the 2nd.  Drilled it 5 x 4 CG in palm.  The ball does clear the heads with ease but didn't squirt, had great midlane and a pronounced backend snap.  With my slower ball speed of 15-16mph this is a great fit for me on typical lighter volume house shots.  I can see this being a great ball for any speed challenged or heavy handed bowler not to mention ANY broken down, shorter pattern.  Great addition to the line for 900 Global.

Drilled 60 x 4 1/2 x 40

This is old school reactive equipment. Easy Skid and a sharp snap down the lane.  I can see why this was targeted at Ladies.  Colors are sharp and the reaction will suit slower ball speed or some one who needs a little extra angle down at the pin deck.  The High RG core really can push the ball down the lane but it recovers nicely with good hitting power.

Gentlemen if you need a ball that will clear the heads like glass and snap back from anywhere take a look at the Vixen.  Ladies all I can say is you are lucky you have 900 Global looking out for you with this new release.

Drill Pattern: 50*x 6x 50*

Length: Drilling dictates this ball get down the lane clean and recover off of the friction extremely quick.

Volume: Great on medium and chewed up patterns. The response off of the dry boards is immediate.

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): Very good on house patterns when you have to get in real deep. On sport patterns it is best on short or once there is some area created in the pattern. On most fresh sport patterns it can be too sideways or too long.

COMMENTS: Drilled this ball for when I need to move in and need a longer pin to pap to help get the corners out. It does exactly what its supposed to do.

Likes: Love the skid/flip motion, and the longer pin to pap layout keeps the Vixen coming when the pattern starts to get ugly.

Dislikes: OIL.....this ball with this late of a layout will over shoot the breakpoint when you are on higher volumes.

Clean clean clean.  Ball scoots through the front with ease.  Slower ball speed, low tilt players or anybody that wants a ball that clears the front on the dry lanes but with an arcing motion at the breakpoint will love this ball.

The Vixen replaced the Jewel and is specifically designed for women and also works great for the senior men players. This ball caters to slow or medium ball speeds with lower rotation. A sharp, attractive look with a nice polished surface, this ball works perfectly when the lanes are dry. For the female or senior men with slower ball speed, it’s a great ball because it gets down the lane with a skid-flip reaction that finishes up in the pocket. This is a great benchmark ball, especially for those women or senior men who just began throwing reactive equipment. Ladies and senior men this is a must have for you!!! This is an awesome ball!!

COMMENTS

Likes:Let me tell what there is too like about this ball, The Vixen is at its best on house patterns after the pattern has broken down at the end of the first two game on an early league or to start almost at any time on the late league. Its best asset is its ability to clear the front part of the lane with ease and its somewhat angular motion to the pocket. This ball to me is what I would classify as to being close to a benchmark ball except for the fact that it saves more energy through the front and is a little more angular than a benchmark. The Vixen will also allow slower ball speed players to stay in the part of the lane they feel comfortable in and not lose their angle to the pocket. If you are on a pattern that has a heavier oil pattern there are better choices out there. But this ball absolutely states what 900 Global intended it for. In addition it is a good looking ball with shelf appeal!  I layed mine out with a 5 1/2 inch pin directly above/between my fingers. Good job 900 Global!

COMMENTS

About the Vixen: Dont let the name or color fool you into thinking the Vixen is only for women. This may be the best ball in he 900 Global lineup for the medium volume THS for many styles. It's clean through the front and makes a strong move in the back. The skid flip type reaction helps open up house shots and allows for more area to be created but it also offers enough control to not give an over/under type reaction. It really allows me to chase the pattern in as the pattern breaks down. Rev dominant and matched players are really going to enjoy the skid/flip reaction the Vixen will give while not being so flippy that its uncontrollable.

LANE CONDITION

Length:40ft house pattern

Volume:

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):

Drilled my Vixen with pin up above bridge. This easily cleared the heads, got down lane with a strong continuos roll to the pocket. I really was pleased with I know the ball is targeted toward the women but guys don`t take this ball lightly. The ball works great when the starts to transition in the second game. It really smoothes out the wet/dry condition. The ladies will like the polished color of the Vixen . Would make a grat ball for bowlers with slower ball speedsfor example ,Seniors and the ladies. Personally this one of my favorites because it is really close to a benchmark ball because you know when you pick it up what to expect. Great job 900 Global.

With this ball I’m able to get into a deeper part of the lane and get the length I want but still have a nice skid flip motion on the backend. For me this ball works great at the start of league and as the lanes break down I make a move left and still I’m able to get a good angle to the pocket. This should be another ball to keep in the arsenal whether you’re a high rev rate player like myself or have a lower rev rate, this ball will still give you a great backend motion regardless.
