LANE CONDITION

Likes: The 2000 grit with polish finish allows for a strong, yet controllable reaction off the end of the pattern. The shape of the symmetric core allows for a clean transition through the front part of the lane, and a strong reaction in the backend. The higher RG and the lower differential allows for the ball to get farther down the lane before flipping over and changing direction. Even though the ball is drilled to be a little bit stronger in the back and to flip hard on the exit of the pattern, it is still extremely controllable. This ball allows me to play the drier parts of the lane without having to worry about going high.
At the JBT B.E.S.T Tournament at Laurel Lanes, I was able to take this ball out on the house condition, and score without any problems. For the six games that I used the Hook, I averaged 240.5, going +243 for this six game block. This ball allowed me to stay in the same part of the lane for all six games. While everyone else in the field had to keep moving left and changing balls, I was able to stay in the same part of the lane with a little adjustment of speed without putting the Hook away. The ball rolled long down the lane and gave me a strong reaction in the back, which is the ideal reaction for conditions similar to house conditions. I was also able to play a tight inside line with the Hook on the challenge pattern to score. The 900 Global Hook is a ball that should not be overlooked, and should be in everyone’s bag.

Likes:I drilled this ball pin under the ring finger and kicked the cg out, put a weight hole in it. This ball is very easy to read from the beginning, i can move right with this ball and play straighter when the lanes are drier and make little moves the rest of the night. The hook ball should be in everyone's bag, this is a great ball.

Great ball for every bowler at an entry level price. This balls does hook has upper mid level performance. Very smooth off the spot. It was easy to read after just a few shots and very predictable. With the reaction being so smooth my moves throughout the night were very little. Great for you short patterns or a THS. Perfect for the budget bowler or the beginner that is looking for performance.
