The Ordnance Pearl mid performance bowling ball is a great compliment to the 900Global Ordnance. The pearl version contains the medium RG and high differential Projectile Symmetric core which is wrapped in the S70 Pearl coverstock. This ball is a good option when you need to maximize the backend reaction once the lane oil starts to break down.

Color: Magenta/Silver Pearl

One of the first balls I drilled, along with the Ordnance Solid, once I made the switch to 15 lb equipment. A pretty standard pin up drilling, on a symmetrical pearl, was always a core piece in my arsenal. Something that got through the heads, made a angular, yet controllable, motion off the end of the pattern, and complemented my benchmark ball. All of those things are accomplished by the Ordnance Pearl. I drilled this similarly to my old Truth Pearl (one of my all time favorite pearl balls) and have gotten a relatively similar reaction. The only difference I've noticed is that that Ordnance Pearl wants to rev up a little earlier than some other pearls, but it retains its energy very well for a strong roll through the pins.

The perfect compliment to the Ordnance, A new Symmetric Pearl for Medium to Medium/Heavy oil patterns. The Projectile weight block and well known S70 coverstock combination give this Pearl plenty of length, store plenty of energy but provide a more drastic move at the breakpoint as the pattern breaks down.

For me when I have thrown this ball and it is a perfect compliment to the Ordnance, and definitely when the lanes break down a little.  Having a similar core to the Drift, one of my favorite balls ever it is always a ball in my bag.

The perfect compliment to the Ordnance solid.
When the lanes start to breakdown and the Ordnance solid is over reacting
the Ordnance Pearl will do the job. You can go deep inside with this one and it will still get back to the pocket with a lot of entry angle. It=s also a great down and in ball as well. If you don=t have a lot of revs for the big hook, straight down the line or a small belly out will work. My comfort zone when the lanes break down is around 18 15 out to 7 or 8 sometimes 10. The VLS gave me this layout for my 16mph speed and other factors. Pin to Pap 3. 0.875, Psa to Pap 4.0.625 and Pin Buffer 2.5 . The Ordnance Pearl and the Ordnance solid are the perfect benchmark ball combination, takes out all of the guess work.

Review:

The Ordnance Pearl is becoming a favorite ball in the arsenal for many bowlers.  The benchmark pearl in the 900 line provides easy length as the heads begin to transition and dry up.  For your typical THS shot the Ordnance Pearl is going to work well and allow you to keep moving along with transition.  For your sport shot scenario the pearl will more likely be used after the lanes breakdown a bit and you desire to take advantage of the box finish.  If you were a fan of the Drift Core you already know what this one can do.  If you haven't been introduced to the Ordnance Pearl from 900 Global be sure to check this one out. I truly recommend this one for your standard THS conditions.  It is quickly becoming one of my favorite 900 balls in the bag. Grab one today!

I try to post things a little more like a person to person post.
I never threw the ball before last night on my 1st league night.
I started with the badger infused, so so in my book on these lanes and oil pattern. ( all league oil pattern are different, I was on wooden lanes as well) so the 2nd game I grabbed the Pearl.....265 right out of the box. it rolled VERY well. I stood 28 with my left foot, tried to hit 15-16 at the arrows, tried to get it out to 8-10 at the break point...and it rolled awesome! I'm really happy with it. I hope it continues. It will be in my bag for sure.

LANE CONDITION

This ball is an awesome piece of equipment for anyone who is looking for a compliment to their ordnance. It keeps the same great continuation through the pins that the ordnance offers when patterns get beaten down and cut up. As a collegiate player I find myself turning to this piece later in the day in almost every tournament as it allows me to both control my break and get the length needed in order keep the ball on the right side on destroyed pattern. The Ordnance Pearl is a must add!
