900 Global claims the Volatility is all “HOOK.” And HOOK it does! This ball creates a motion that can be an eye-opener and simply fun to throw. Let’s take a look.
The all new Volatility Asymmetric Core has a unique design allowing for a smoother transition through the skid, hook and roll. It creates an eye-opening motion that’s dependable and predictable down lane. Further, with its high flaring potential, you will enjoy a much higher degree of entry angle that even creates those dazzling messengers!

The S86R coverstock was first used in the Inception DCT. Putting this formula in a Hybrid gave this ball a whole new exciting dimension to play with. The Volatility reads consistently throughout the lane and makes a hard turn off the pattern. Bring your Abralon pads along with you to make surface adjustments on this ball and have fun experimenting outside of your comfort zone. For me, I brought the ball to 3000 for an early night THS (typical house shot), 1500 for higher oil volumes and even 500/1000 for longer, higher volume oil patterns. I thoroughly enjoyed this Hybrid Coverstock. For a down-and-in player, I had fun moving far in and maintaining a ball motion that I am used to and can control.

The Volatility is a monster of a ball from 900 Global. It’s fun to roll on an early THS and seriously helps you get to the pocket on heavy and long oil patterns. If you are a straighter player and like down and in, this ball will help you create a motion you can count on.

See your local Pro Shop operator and have a Volatility drilled up for you today!

“The S86R™ Cover-stock, made famous by the Inception DCT, will produce the most hook within the 900 Global line.  This is the first time the S86R™ has been offered in a hybrid formulation.  Expect a continuous, strong reaction throughout the lane.

The Volatility™ Core is a brand new core design from the R&D Department.  We have found a density and shape that will give the bowler great RG and Differential numbers while keeping the Intermediate Differential in the medium-low range.  By keeping the Intermediate Differential lower, we have eliminated the risk of the asymmetry created by the core causing the ball to hook too early.”

The Volatility has a very controlled heavy roll that offers a great look on higher volumes of oil. This ball hits really hard. With its conservative intermediate differential, I’m even able to move left into the puddle in late league when the lanes are cliffed and still have the ball finish strong. I’ve observed bowlers of all styles having success with this ball. I haven’t thrown a ton of games with this ball yet, but when I have thrown it, it has struck a bunch. I can’t wait to roll some big sets with this one.
