The 900Global Volt upper-mid performance bowling ball uses the S72R Pearl coverstock which is the S72 Pearl coverstock with a catalyst added. This coverstock was designed to balance the ball's traction in oil and increase its performance at the backend. The Volt uses the Charged Symmetric Core which has a flip block on the bottom that will increase the change of direction at the breakpoint.

Just subbed in a league on a fresh house shot, 42' long.

I think folks are really going to like this ball. I'm not so sure this ball is designed for a fresh shot, probably better suited for the transition. When I tugged it, it basically didn't make a sharp move. Bumping it outside however, it boomeranged back from the dry.

Great hitting power is what you'll notice. This ball reminds me of the Dirty Look, and I loved that one. This weapon should be a great one for the power players out there.

Two Piece Symmetric Ball for Medium Oil conditions. This ball is a great 1-2 punch along side the Flux, and like the Flux has a new Charged weight block and coverstock. The new combination gives the Volt an increased backend motion, drastic change of direction at the breakpoint and plenty of traction in the oil resulting in more hitting power.

Having thrown this ball in league and tournament competition, I found it allows me to throw a variety of shots and angles to the pocket to score and this ball really loves to see friction.

Love this one, another two piece design which translates to hitting power.
Medium conditions all the way for all styles of play. In some cases it could be the first ball out of your bag. A beautiful controlled roll from start to finish. The Volt makes it easy to read the lanes and transition game after game. What I like about the Volt is I didn=t have to move my feet very much as the lanes started to dry. A great ball for spotty conditions, wet dry conditions, and even when the heads start to burn a little. Here is my layout for my 16mph speed plus other VLS information for medium lane conditions. Pin to Pap 4.5" Psa to Pap 3.5" and Pin Buffer 1.375.
Everyone will need one of these.

LANE CONDITION

Volt
Cover Stock: S72R
Finish: 1500 Grit Polished
Core:   Charged Symmetric
RG: 2.56
Differential: 0.047

Layout: 65 x 4.5 x 65
Tester:  PAP 5 1/2 R, 1 1/2 D

Review:

The 900 Global Volt has a pearlized coverstock with a new Charged Symmetric core.  The new weight block combines a high RG with a medium differential. This combination along with its OOB (1500) finish makes the Volt perfect for league play where medium to light patterns are present.  What you will find is that the Volt provides easy length to the breakpoint, while maintaining consistent reaction at the end of the pattern.  What you are going to love most about the Volt is that it is just the right amount of tame instead of overly strong snap for a pearlized ball. This will allow the player to feel they can maintain angles longer and not feel the need to get steep early on during league play. Also, for bowlers that desire an even smoother reaction can use a 3K pad by hand. The Volt is a nice addition for any arsenal and you'll likely find a spot in the bag for one or two this league season.

The Volt uses a 1500 finish on the S72R Pearl coverstock has an extra catalyst added from the original S72 to increase backend motion. The Charge Symmetric Core is a two piece with no outer core.

All I can say is “Wow”. This ball for me once I had to put the Flux down the Volt allow me to play the same area play 15 to 8 . The ball is very clean through front and great for when the lanes start transitioning. It will also allow you to play several different entry angles.

If you are looking for ball to complements the Flux this will be the one for you.
