900Global's Tour Preferred line of bowling balls are go to products for tournament bowlers. This line offers the predictability as well as the control that are crucial for tournament bowlers. The X doesn't disappoint in these two areas. This ball has a low RG and Low Differential Pod symmetric core that offers early revving action and a smooth reaction at the breakpoint. The S57 cover and the NEAT "A" finish give the optimum level of friction for medium oil lane conditions.

Speed    17MPH
Rev rate   450
PAP   4-7/8 and 1/3 up
Axis Tilt   15 degrees
Axis Rotation   30 degrees

Global X 50x4.75x60
This ball is the new benchmark ball in the 900 Global arsenal. Sitting in the Tour Preferred line, the X will give you that type or reaction that every bowler needs when the lanes get tough or during tournament play. Compared to the Chemical-X, the X is a few boards more aggressive for me and has a tad bit more of a backend motion, but not nearly as much as the Dark Matter (also in the Tour Preferred line). I had a very similar roll with the AMF300 Nighthawk SE, so if anyone ahs thrown that ball as well they match up very similarly. This will most likely be one of the first or second balls out of my bag for most nights of bowling to gauge where I need to play the lanes on a particular day.

I am truly amazed at what 900 Global has done with the new X. I can't get this ball out of my hand let alone my bag. It is a must have for anyone's arsenal. This is truly what I have been looking for out of the Chemical X. The X offers a bit more midlane read and quite a bit more backend motion compared to the Chemical X. When you couldn't get deep with the Chemical X, the X allows you to move deeper to continue to follow the transition. I can't remember the last time I could use only one ball for 3 games on a THS. The X is the perfect benchmark ball. Not only is it great on THS, it performs very well on your toughest sport patterns. If you need something cleaner through the heads and a more angular backend, bring in the Dark Matter. The X allows for plenty of mistake room and also gives you the same predictability you had with the Chemical X. 900 Global hit the nail on the head with this one!

The 900Global X will be my benchmark ball on both THS and mid length/volume sport shots.  This ball is very predictable with the 2500 matte finish. It reads the mid-lane great and has a beautiful backend reaction with great continuation through the pins.
Well done 900Global its a keeper

Likes:My specs 45 x 5 1/2 x 45 with extra hole. Ball Speed 15.5, rev rate 375, PAP 5 11/16 x 5/16 up, ball surface 2500(A-Pad). Bowlers it's tourney season! I can't think of a better ball to have in your bag than the 900Global X. Ball is clean thru the front and has a lot forgiveness in the midlane. A very good benchmark ball to have, especially when bowling tournaments on unfamiliar patterns. If you have chemical X, this ball will be cleaner through the front with more energy on backend. I will be taking one with me too USBC Nationals this year. Pick one up today, you will not be disappointed.

Ball: 900 Global  X
Drilling: 4 x 4x4
Pap: 4 3/4 x 7/8 up
Finish: Box Finish
Lane Condition: 40 Foot THS
Summary:  The X was drilled with the with the ring finger through the pin and the CG stacked with no extra hole.
The ball comes with a 2500 grit factory finish.  After a couple trips down the lane, I quickly realized that this ball would be my new benchmark ball.  Drilled identical to a Chemical X that I have this ball definitely is stronger in the midlane with stronger continual backend motion.  I have used this ball on a variety of conditions with success.  On flatter patterns it blends the pattern creating a smooth continuous motion which is really controllable.  This is great for those that have a hard time controlling the fresh on a flatter pattern.  On house patterns, it helps blend out the wet dry giving a more predictable ball reaction.
This is a must have release and another great addition to the Tour check line.

Likes: Very smooth and predictable.

Dislikes: None

Drilled my Global X pin down with cg stacked under bridge. I was sold on this ball after the first night of bowling. The X reads the midlane a little sooner than the Chemical X and has a stronger backend reaction. This has become my benchmark ball because of the verstality and the smooth contolled reaction on backend. The X smooths out the wet-dry conditions with ease.  I have used the Global X on just about everything (except heavy oil)and it just plain matches up well. Great for when the lanes start to transition because of the way the ball comes off the spot with a smooth, controlled, roll with great continuation thru the pins. For me it keeps the pins lower for better pin carry. Can`t wait to throw it at Nationals this year.

The 900 Global X is a pure benchmark ball. Different bowling styles equal different
types of bowling balls as a benchmark ball. The X fits all styles. The X is very readable
from start to finish, adjusting to lane changes with this ball is a breeze, very small adjustments is all you’ll need. Start the night off with this one and make your decisions
from there. Adjust the cover to match your style of play. I drilled mine at 40 X 4 X 40
and it makes medium conditions easy. I’m between a tweener and a stroker with a 15 mph ball speed. Get one.

900 Global X
#15.4
3.5" pin
3.0 oz top

Rt. hand
14-15 mph
PAP 4 9/16

Drilling: 5 x 4, pin up, Vise compound polish
Volume 38-41ft
THS, Kegel Challenge Series

The 900 Global X, the "Favorite" is back!  For those who liked or still have the Favorite this is the bigger and better.  Drilled it 5 x 4, pin up.  OOB it was super aggressive early.  As I still have a Favorite pin down, dull I took some Vise compound polish to the cover.  Impressive arc/snap off the spot.  It's at least 3-4 boards than the Chemical X easy.  Extremely close to the original Favorite but with a touch less midlane and touch more snap.  Its a house shot killer, a benchmark ball, 1st out of the bag.  Carries the half hits crazy good.  900 Global outdid themselves with the X.  Power at an inexpensive price point.

Layout: 60 x 4 x 70
Ball Speed: 16.5
PAP: 4 1/8 R, 13/16 Up
Surface: OOB
Patterns: Variable

The new 900 Global X is a welcomed addition to this year’s lineup. The addition of the Tour Preferred lineup has helped bridge the gap in this season’s lineup. Originally when the Chemical X came out, I thought that it would have brought a versatile, controlled motion. By taking the “chemical” out of the equation, the X has defined the benchmark type motion to the lineup. The closest piece that I can compare the X to within previous 900 Global releases is the AMF Darkness from a few seasons ago. They both are great for tougher sport conditions allowing you to stay out of trouble and control the breakpoint.  If you’re looking for something to add to your bag before Nationals or any tournaments coming up, consider this one.

Likes: Predictable, Smooth reaction, Sleek Black solid

Dislikes: I need to drill more of them!

900 Global hit the nail on the head with this benchmark ball. The X is an awesome addition to the tour preffered series with the S57 Solid coverstock. If you love the Chemical X, the X is defiantly a great addition in your arsenal. I found that on the THS this ball has more pop off the spot and back end then the Chemical X. The X is tamer off the spot than the Black Ops but it is very complimentary as it has similar shape. It is great in fresh and very predictable as the patterns breakdown. I took this ball to State with me and it performed fantastic.
My X is drilled with a 45x4x35 layout with a hole 1 ½ down on the VAL. I also kept it out of the box finish at 2500 grit. The X will have a home in my arsenal and my go to for predictable reaction. This ball won’t get you in trouble!

900 Global has really been coming out with some great equipment lately, so this ball is yet again another great addition to the line up. I put my favorite layout on this one, pin up above bridge and cg about 2.5 inches to the right of center of grip with a small hole about 2 inches past VAL. PAP is 4.25 over and .25 up. even with the pin up and 5 inches away from PAP this ball reads the mid lane and has so much continuation on medium conditions its sick. I really like to use mine just after they start to break down, it allows me to stay in the same zone so I don't have to make the big jump left with a stronger piece. This ball is really good on a THS or the medium to light patterns when you need to control the lane. ball takes surface adjustments well but for me the box finish seems to be the best. 900 Global staffer, Tim Janz, Beaver Dam, WI

Coverstock: S57â„¢ Solid

Color: Black
Core: Podâ„¢ Symmetric
Flare Potential: 3-4″
Radius of gyration 2.49
Differential .035
The latest 900 Global ball in the Tour Preferred Series is called the X.  All I can say is that it has a perfect meaning because this ball sure can string some strikes!  This low RG ball with a medium differential is a great addition to the 900 Global lineup.  The X has a stable controlling arc to the pins and the cover is a vast improvement to Chemical X with an overall stronger ball motion.  This ball is a must have have and it has a nice price point to the consumer.  This ball works great on the wet dry conditions you might see at your local bowling center and also performs on those medium to short oil sport conditions too.....  Great addition to the 900 Global line......  so let's add some Performance to your game and throw some strikes with the new X.  Greg Thomas 900Global Staff

- The S57™ Solid coverstock provides consistent and predictable friction.
- The symmetric Pod™ core produces controlled flare and a smooth transition.
- Use the X on medium length and volume patterns.

The Tour Preferred line has quickly established itself as the premier choice of tournament bowlers. Predictability and control are always at a premium on tournament conditions. The X perfectly achieves both of these attributes.

The low RG/ Low Differential Pod™ symmetric core provides early revving action to smooth out the motion at the breakpoint, while the S57 shell and NEAT “A” finish provide the ideal amount of traction to combat all medium lane conditions.

REVIEW

Wow! I drilled this X pin down below my bridge, cg kicked with no xtra hole and this ball is incredible! The one concern I had when I joined the Global team was if I could find a replacement for my beloved IQ Tour Solids. The X does the trick almost flawlessly if not even better. I feel that I have even more control at the breakpoint with the X but the hitting power is still incredible. Out of box finish may be a little too much for some unless you’re intended purpose is to use this ball on oil. With the 2500 grit neat “A” finish I could use this ball on fresh house or sport shorts depending on the angles I wanted to play. In order to use this ball later in the day once the lanes have opened up a bit, I retouched up the ball with a used 2000 pad and put a light polish on top. The X really came alive after this! The X went from being an earlier rolling control ball to a clean through the front and power on the backend ball! The versatility of this ball just amazes me. I can use the X going up the lane on fresh with surface or swing the ball from inside on burn with a little polish and there’s no loss of hitting power in sight. This ball is going to be a major player on tons of conditions. The core is something special and I hope that global continues to wrap this core with more and more covers. I’d kill to see this core wrapped in a Black Ops S70 cover! I can see the X making it into my tournament travel bag for a long time to come and it will definitely be making the trip with me to nationals in Reno this year as well as all of my PBA stops. If you want versatility with hitting power from a single ball, you’re going to find it with the X!
