Black Mamba
« on: December 31, 1969, 06:00:00 PM »
Ball NPS Score: 100.00
- Coverstock:  F74 (AMF uses a numeric  rating system designed to differentiate our coverstock strengths. F10  least aggressive - F90 most aggressive. Note: Core dynamics must be  taken into account with shell strength when selecting equipment.)
- Core Technology:  Symmetric
- Color:  Purple/Yellow All colors do vary somewhat from the picture shown.
- Finish: NEAT - E (1,500 grit)
- A few tiny pit holes in the cover stock of the ball are normal
- RG: 16#: 2.532  15#: 2.542  14#: 2.557
- Differential: 16#: .055  15#: .055  14#:  .055
- Description:  Packed with an F74  coverstock, the Black Mamba uses its High RG - High Differential  symmetric core and NEAT "E" finish to create a strong down lane motion  on medium-heavy to heavy oil.  “NEAT” is a new Natural Engineered Abrasive Technology that offers both  enhanced aesthetics and surface topography on the bowling ball. As  opposed to conventional abrasives on the market, “NEAT” has a  multi-layer uniformed placement of abrasive structures that allows for  superior surface area contact, which yields a more consistent surface  across the entire bowling ball.

Likes:This ball is very controlled and smooth off of  the spot and in the mids. I threw it on the Shark and it wasn't quite  aggressive enough for me, but what I did like about its shape was how  clean it was. This ball will work very well on fresh oil patterns and on  conditions were the backends are real strong, or your ball comes off  the pattern too soon. Easy to read, nice controlled motion. I used NEAT  finishing system on this, using A pad, then T pad and the finally a  dirty rag on ball, which gave me a little more backend reaction without  losing traction in the mids. This ball will work well on usbc patterns,  like the white pattern for example. This ball gives me a different shape  than anything else I have in my bag and that is a good reason for me to  take to all tournaments especially. Very good ball here, you wont be  disappointed if you buy this ball if you are looking for what I just  described.

Likes: The Black Mamba - drilled this 5" from PAP, pin up small weight hole,.  Cool looking hybrid.  I do well with symmetrical balls normally so I was looking forward to seeing what this crazy colored ball had to offer.  Well...hook and carry!  OOB its a rolly beast!  Even on a THS that has volume I had trouble keeping the BM in the pocket.  Just wants to pick up a quick roll and keep on going.  My ball speed is on the slower side so this wasn't a good combo.  Fought through 2 games of 214, 224.  Knowing this wasn't going to be an honor score night and wanting to keep trying the BM I ran and threw it into the house's luster king for a buck.  What came out was a totally different reacting ball.  It became a skid/flip monster!  Now ball had good length and real hard arc/flip move on the backend.  Lanes had broken down and the BM opened up the lane for a 269.  Impressive carry on half hits - light or half pocket didn't matter.  I like the color combo in that if I miss my release it is easy to see on this ball.  All around great ball from AMF.  If I had to compare hybrid's - Train to BM, the BM is less ball but more skid/flip type for me especially with polish.  Thanks AMF you have a winner!
