Drill 70 x 5 1/4 x 35
Pin Above the bridge

AMF hits a home run.  This is the ball I have been waiting for from them.  Finally a ball the picks up the mid lane enough to keep it from squirting through the Breakpoint and still has a enough guts to get back from just about anywhere on the lane.

The strength displayed from the F77 cover is amazing.  I had to polish it up so I would be able to use for more then just the first game of league.  My House shot is considered by most to be slick and out of the box I was already targeting 4th arrow with the ball and it was still over hooking a bit.  A quick trip to the spinner for a light coating of shine and this ball came to life.  3rd arrow out to 6 and the ball roared back and sent pins everywhere.  For those of us who are not rev dominate this type of pin reaction is nice to see.  The ball flared up to about 5 inches on this drill which is more then I thought since it is a symmetric core without and x-hole.

Looking for a good first out the bag ball that will take you through the night as long as you chase the oil line in.  Give the AMF Darkness a whirl and you wont be sorry..

Thanks AMF/900G for another great product.

AMF Darkness
#15
3" pin
2.75oz top

Rt hand
14-15 mph
PAP 4 9/16

Drilling 4 X 4 2" pin buffer
Volume 38-41ft
THS, Kegel Challenge Series

Put favorite drill pattern on new AMF Darkness 4 by 4 2" pin buffer, added a coat of Storm step 1 polish to cover thinking I wouldn't be able to throw in normal league conditions in OOB finish.  They say continuation and they meant it!  Extremely surprised with the mid-lane roll with no quit off the spot!  Very readable motion, roll with hard arc.  The cover did force my deeper with my speed but the deeper I moved and the more the lanes transitioned the better it got!  4 games in - 266 (3rd game, front 8) and 279, 248, 279, 806...the ball is as advertised!  Hook, continuation and carry big time with this ball.  AMF has a true winner in the Darkness.

LANE CONDITION

Length:52' Badger, 40' Wolf and 39' House Pattern

Volume:Heavy to lite

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):

Likes:Must have Ball

Dislikes:None

The new AMF Darkness what a versatile ball, this ball has the F-77 solid coverstock and Dark Tower Symmetric core with an enhanced flip block and a lower RG and a higher differential. This a go to ball that works on ANY condition. I laid this ball out with a 4” X 4” X 1” my PAP is 5 3/8 right and 1” down. This ball is very strong thru the middle to the back of the lane and what a backend this ball creates, it just keeps on coming. I used Darkness on the 52’ Badger pattern and dropped the surface down to 500 abralon, I was impressed on how it handled the pattern it actually gave me a little miss area. I then took the Darkness surface back to box 4000 and used it on the 40’ Wolf pattern and it really shined on this pattern with a 669 series. The only thing left to do was polish it, and that is what I did and used it on a 39’ broken down house pattern and the Darkness never let up. That’s why I said what a versatile ball; it fits any style from the high rev player to the low rev player and is a must addition to any ones arsenal.

UPS dropped off my Darkness last Wednesday and out of the box 256, 237, 300 for 793.  I love the combination of the F77 cover with 4000 finish.  The Darkness is very versatile ball for just about any style.  Crankers can get real deep w.o the ball losing any drive, while Tweeners can go up the boards w/o the ball overreacting.  If you’re looking for a ball with a smooth, continuous roll, look no further than the AMF Darkness!

AMF Darkness

Drilled this ball Pin under ring finger. Bowled on wood first night and it got to the mid-lane and went left. used for 2-games and and had to put it away. Next night I used it on syntethics and it was smooth as silk, read the mid-lane stood up and had a smooth arc to the pocket. Shot 737. now that I have a few games on it has calmed down but still has plenty of hook, just a little smoother off the spot. This ball with its F77 COVER (4000 grit finish)is probably the versatile ball ever made by Amf. I drill one for friend of mine and he he hasn`t shot under 700 with it for 2-weeks. Ilove the way the stands up and gets into a heavy roll and never stops. Great ball for all types of players from the crankers can move way left and the recovers or the tweeners can play straighter without it overhooking.  WELCOME TO THE DARKNESS.

Out of the light comes....the DARKNESS? This is the one time we should all be kept in the "dark". I have never had a ball this strong out of the box. Had to put polish on mine after only throwing it twice. Realized that it needed more oil than I was applying it to. Let's talk surface...4000 abralon with an F77 solid cover. Definitely reads early, "Doogie Howser" style. Mix in the "Dark Tower Symmetric" core, and ladies and gentlemen, we have a hook monster. I got this beast to recover on a lane where the carrydown pushed the ball about 55 ft. It will be in my bag for every tournament because I know it will be a complete asset when the lanes are slick. I'm pretty sure if you have a 900 Global Network AND an AMF Darkness in your bag, you will not be disappointed. See my videos of 900 Global/AMF products in actions on youtube, username "conventionalspinner"...

AMF Darkness

Ball has a nice early roll, great midlane for a continues finish through the pins. This type of layout needs oil or you can buff up the surface for more lenght through the heads. If your looking for an oil ball this ball is for you.

Gotta have for Nationals

The AMF Darkness is a strong addition to the AMF family. With its reactive core and the dull finish, this ball is great for Sport Conditions and Tournaments. Can't wait to throw this ball at Nationals. It rolls down the lane smooth and finishes with a strong hook into the pocket. Perfect for out and in styled bowlers, as well as crankers. Perfect for those heavier oil patterns.

One of the smoothest, most controlled, predictable ball I have ever thrown! No matter what condition I used the Darkness on, what I got was a nice midlane read with a strong backend reaction. The ball motion overall is a very strong arch. I can use it from any angle and still score. Up the boards, no problem. Ball track, no problem. From deep inside of 3rd arrow, you guessed it, smooth as silk. For a ball to have this strong of cover and still be effective from deep and during transition, that is unheard of. I don't leave home without it! This ball is very drill friendly and will easily be one for all bowling styles. Old reliable!
