Just got this one last week.  Since I'm a straight player with relatively high ball speed, I need a wall and/or pretty strong back ends to be effective with this ball (drilled stacked-leverage).  It has a strong even move to the pocket on the right condition, and it hits REAL hard with great carry.

This ball was undermarketed in Australia by AMF, but I have to say that I have been impressed with the way it makes the turn in the backend without having to load up the drilling.  Drilled one for my assistant who likes to wing it a fair bit and on a top hat it is a monster but on a reverse block it suffers fom major over-under syndrome.  Better for the heavy hitters than the original Night Hawk even when that was shined.  Look forward to seeing the Menace Pearl 'cos I reckon it will be the same improvement over the Menace

Pin below and between fingers, drilled for max length and not too much hook (high RG/stable pin). No weight hole.  Ball works as advertised.  My favorite ball overall.  Gets down the lane good, doesn't over-react and hits great.  Has been resurfaced several times with no ill effects. 9+ out of 10.

ADDED 5/31/02

Wanted to see if an edited review showed up as new.  Got a used 15# M2 from Doug Sterner.  Drilled like before.  Pin below the fingers, CG kicked out about 2".  4.5 x 3 for me I believe.  Still love this ball.  Gets good length and great pop on the backend.  I'll write a real review later.

This is a situational ball for me. 4" pin above and int he middle of my grips cg kicked out, drilled similar to my EMB Pearl. If i need more hook than my EMB Pearl i pull this one out and throw it once. I can tell with 1 throw if this ball will work on the lanes. If it is the right situation the rack is gone when this thing hits. I have never left a 4 or an 8 with this. Very very powerful ball. Great ball but only on certain conditions. I bowl from 20 to 5 and this will come back with authority, i want to snap a picture of this thing hitting the pins because it is an amazing site. Good ball 7.5 out of 10 because doesn't always work for me.

Hey again, this time I have a Nighthawk M2.Yayayayayayayaya,I know its an older(newers stuff BEEN made,BUT I wanna review it)kinda ball,um,heres the lowdown again. My b-ball was bought used and I ended getting the same set up as the “original drill”.This was set at 3 3/2” from the pin to the center of gravity(fun stuff)that famous marker, yaaa looks like a basic leverage, but set a TAD to the left,no biggie.Anyways this ball was pre set a little different than the others I bought in the past.It looked to me like a “later rolling reaction kinda ball,”OK,so a few weeks later(NOW its July 4th!!).Yep,I gave it its first test,TWO days ago!!The lanes were VERY oily, because hardly no one used any lanes because of the rat races in this holiday! My very first throw ohhh noooo, nooooo,it didn’t quite reach the head pin.In fact,it took an extra 6 otr 7 feet to do some backending.Hey!At least it’s got a DARN good REV!!So,I adjusted some more to the left and slowed it down a tad.Ok,it does a little better, also I’ve noticed on certain spares this ball is a little inconsist if you don’t adjust. For example I’d throw at a “4”pin and it would hook a weeee bit and miss AND/OR  going for a “10” pin and hit the gutter by inches!!I noticed when the lanes dried up a little, this NH-M2 did some cleaner rolling.I like this ball,BUT I’ll bring on light oil or the rare occasional dry days!!Overall rating “”B+””.Why!I like its revving action, its almost Lane 1ish!!!I know there are sooooo Many b-balls out there simaliar to this one.I just wanted to give my honest opinion on it.Nuff said, good luck in all your searches for the ULTIMATE arsenal!!

I recently have purchased the NightHawk M2 From AMF and I must say that this is a pretty good ball to use on wood lanes with a lot of oil in the middle.  I have a leverage drill designed to give me more back end on it and I must say that this ball has a very good and smooth arcing motion.  This ball and my VictorySPt are my two main balls in my arsenal
