I drilled the new Green Mamba for my wife today and she was able to try it out at a tournament. At first it looked like it wasn't going to do much of anything but after a few shots to get used to it, it started to flip hard through the middle. After a few splits, had to put it away. Definitely needs some oil.
On another note, this thing gets dirty. 1 game and it looks like the pictures. Reminds me of the old white xs.

I wouldn't place 100% of the blame on the ball for it getting so dirty. It appears those A2's need to be cleaned a little those ball lift marks are a sign of lack of cleanliness.

No doubt. Not the cleanest house in the world. I am just saying that the ball is a very light, bright color that shows everything. Looks cool going down the lane though.

Just a little note .. I have a Motiv Primal Impulse that has light colors .. love the ball but it looks terrible dirty after one session. Other balls used in the same house don't look near as dirty .. has to be the light colors.

I would agree in the video it looked good going down the lane. I will put up with a ball getting dirty just as long as it strikes a lot.

This thread re-affirms how important it is to clean equipment after every set..
Ball does look good though, I may have to look at one..

PS should this be a prettier Bank Roll done the AMF way!
PPS I love the AMF versions to tell you the truth. (I have a Grip).

If one looks like the specs they look like the Bank from 900 Global.
However for some reason the Bank just didn't look as good on the lanes as this Mamba does. (bank appeared weaker).
I have a Bounty Hunter with it's 79 coverstock versus the 74 coverstock on this Green Mamba.
Now it could be the pattern laid out for this video is more blended than my house pattern which is pretty strong side to side wet dry. But my Bounty Hunter JUMPS off the oil line, I like how this 74 coverstock seems to react very smooth.
Hmmmm, Green Mamba, like a stronger Bank, maybe? Or a smoother Bounty Hunter(which I view as very similar to a Virtual Gravity which I also have!).

Its actually a Bank Roll with a finer finish and a slightly weaker cover (76 vs 74 on the mamba) Bank Roll was finished at an E pad, and the Mamba is at a T pad. Numbers look the same, otherwise.
I think that the Green Mamba, Freight Train, Look, Cobra, and Bull Whip are finding their way into my bag.

I've been very impressed with the Train when I have seen it also!
ALSO, thanks for giving me good ideas to follow up on regarding 900 global and AMF products. It is much appreciated and I am pleased with what I have with them! So far! But I might have to add...

My pleasure. Its my belief that 900/AMF is making the best stuff out there. I'm trying to figure out what I am going to retire to make room for the new pieces. Sure thing will replace my Clutch, Look will replace the s75, Bull Whip may replace my Clutch Pearl or big heist, and the Cobra... it doesnt have to replace anything, does it? :)

I just pulled the trigger on a Green Mamba! I been trying a bunch of different brands, and the last AMF balls I had was the Villian and an X-out original Clutch. Loved the Villian!
I've had some 900 Globals, the Original Break, Break Pearl, and Bank, but both the O Break and Bank cracked all the way around the ball. Hopefully the GM will last longer!

Well, this second edition in the mamba far exceeds the first, not only in eye appeal but in performance too. I used a simple pin down drilling (similar to my break-out that I use at USBC’S), the result was a very clean and predictable roll with the ball reading the front/middle part of the lane and then still retaining energy to go through the pins. What I really like about this ball is that I can play surprisingly far in with it and the ball is very versatile, which is a great selling point for pro shop operators. The ball is super clean through the front part of the lane, thus more back end reaction and better pin carry. This would certainly be a great ball for a bowler who is looking for a high performance ball that he/she can use on a variety of patterns and surfaces.

How do you like it compared to the other balls using the SRC? It looks pretty mean. In my opinion, in the 900/AMF family, the Nuts core and the SRC are two of the best cores they have (Other than the Break weightblock. That goes without saying.)
I am putting holes in a Bank Roll today, have a Bank, and love my Nuts Pearl. I can't pass up any ball with the Soaker cover on it, so the Look is a certainty. So probably looking to order a Green Mamba, and a Cobra and Bull Whip once fall starts up.
