Super Scamp
At AMF 300, we're adding our new Super Scamp to our entry-level performance line, which is already powerful! For more hook, we gave Super Scamp a super ceramic core with a powerful coverstock, Super-Flex with particle. Now, with Super Scamp joining its predecessor, the Scamp, we've got the strongest one-two punch in the entry-level market. Best of all, it hits the mark with anyone's budget.

NEEDED A BALL FOR FRIDAY WHEN LANES BREAK DOWN.  SUPERFREAK WAS OCASSIONALLY TOUGH TO KEEP IN POCKET.  WENT TO NATE (THE GOD) AT TINLEY BOWL AND WE DISCUSSED SEVERAL OPTIONS.  I HAD THE SUPERFREAK DRILLED A BIT TAME SO I COULD BECOME A MORE Consistent SHOT.  I ALSO WANTED MY NEW BALL TO BE ABLE TO WORK OUT ON SATURDAYS WHERE THE CONDITIONS ARE VERY HEAVY MIDS AND VERY DRY OUTSKIRTS.  AS YOU COULD IMAGINE THE SUPERFREAK MOVES QUITE A BIT WHEN I TRY TO PLAY THIRD TO SECOND ARROW DOWN AND IN.  AFTER TALKING WE DECIDED TO DRILL ME UP A
SUPER SCAMP.  HE HAD DRILLED UP A REGULAR SCAMP A FEW WEEKS EARLIER FOR ONE OF HIS KIDS HE COACHES AND SAID HE WAS AMAZED AT THE RESULTS AS THIS IS HIS FIRST TEST OF THE AMF WATERS.  HE HAS NEVER SEEN THE SUPER SCAMP SO I AM HIS MONKEY SO TO SAY.  WELL THE RESULTS ARE IN AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER.  I CAME OUT OF THE GATES WITH THE SUPERFREAK AND SHOT A 248, BUT THE LANES REALLY BROKE DOWN MIDWAY THROUGH THE SECOND GAME AND I HAD TO START BELLYING THE BALL AND WASNT ABLE TO CARRY A 10 FOR THE LIFE OF ME.  SHOT A 178 (DAMN!)  WELL NEEDLESS TO S SAY I SWITCHED TO THE SUPER SCAMP IN GAME THREE AND I AM SURE GLAD I DID.  THE BALL ROLLED REAL NICE THROUGH THE DRYER (NOT TO DRY) HEADS HELD A GREAT LINE AND BUILD UP A LOT OF ENERGY.  THE BACK END OF THE BALL IS WHAT REALLY SURPRISED ME.  IF YOU GET TO SLOW THIS BALL DOES HAVE A GREAT AMOUNT OF SNAP,WHICH IS A GOOD SIGN FOR THE CONDITIONS I BOWL IN ON SATURDAYS.  THIS BALL ALSO HITS BETTER THAN I WOULD EVER HAVE GUESSED.  THE PINS WERE CRACKING AS THE BALL WAS SHATTERING THE POCKET.  I WENT ON TO BOWL A 233 TO SAVE 647 AND KEEP THE AVERAGE.  NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM VERY HAPPY (ALTHOUGH I REALIZE IT IS ONLY ONE GAME) WITH THE POTENTIAL OF THIS BALL.  I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW IT HOLDS DRY OUTSKIRTS ON SATURDAYS AND IF IT DRIVES THROUGH THE SLOSHY MIDS. I AM REALLY LOOKING FOR SOMEONES ELSES FEEDBACK ON THIS BALL IF U COULD.

Greetings From the South Side of the Pit

This ball works best when the lanes dry up/break down. At least thats the case for me, haven't fooled with the surface I might just leave it as it is with its high gloss.  For me it goes long down the lane and then mildly turns (pending on the oil) Iv'e never owned an AMF ball so I decided to try one out and I can say that i'm not dissapointed, Its an alright ball

Drilled my Super Scamp 4x4 with a small hole on the val. This ball rolls very true with no surprises. When the lanes get broken down some, or you just need more control I think it's an excellent choice.

Great ball for the money.

This was my first fingertip ball and had it label drilled up about 8 months ago. I decided on the Super Scamp after careful study of all the so called entry level balls on the market. Although the Super Scamp was slightly more pricier [$12-15], it outclassed everything else - grooves, scouts, tornados, etc. No ball in this class has coverstocks with particle and a big dynamic core with some middle of the road differential.

This ball is really a mid performance ball with an entry level label; and a good one at that. I've bought two since and it still works like a champ. In fact, my average is consistently higher with this ball over any other. The ball is very consistent. Shots are repeatable and predictable. It also doesn't suck oil like a sponge!

I'm a medium rev, medium-high speed, 35 degree tilt, med-high tracker. In box condition, the ball skids 45, revs up and hard arcs to the pocket. Plays good down 2nd arrow. Dulled up with grey scotchbrite, ball makes a bigger arc and much earlier allowing me to move inside to the 3rd arrow. Ball hits like a truck.

Lastly, I like this ball alot. It's high quality and the coverstock is great. My only regret is not having it drilled a little different. Sadly, this ball is discontinued, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another 15#'r with the right specs.
