Post by: EricThomas on April 24, 2006, 02:41:38 AM
Mark Wukoman of Franklin Wisconsin posted a 900 this past Saturday at Classic lanes outside Milwaukee.  Mark used a Radar recently purchased from Megna's Pro Shop.  Congrats from all of us here at AMF300!!!!!!

Wow!

That name doesn't even sound familiar to me.

However, he wouldn't know me from a load of hay, either!

Classic Lanes...isn't that the same house up there that Tony Roventini (lefty) shot the 2nd ever sanctioned 900 series back in 1998 or so???

A Milwaukee-area bowler rolled a perfect three-game series that, if officially approved by the United States Bowling Congress, would become the ninth official 900 series in the 111-year history of certified league bowling.

Mark Wukoman rolled three consecutive 300 games for a 900 series April 22 in the Saturday Night Men's Special League at Classic Lanes in the Milwaukee suburb of Greenfield, Wis. USBC is in the process of completing the standard verification process after an honor score is rolled in a certified league.

The 50-year-old right-hander from Franklin, Wis., currently carries a 226 standard league average and a 206 USBC Sport Bowling average. Wukoman has 14 certified 300 games and three certified 800 series to his credit. His previous high series was 825.

"You could feel the tension," said Ryan Lever, who witnessed the historic feat. "It was surreal. When he was in his 10th frame (of his third game), you couldn't see because there were so many people. We were standing on chairs in the back."

"He was pretty nervous," said Classic Lanes proprietor Gary Daroszewski, a former tournament teammate of Wukoman's, who also saw the performance. "Everyone stopped bowling his last four frames. Everyone came up and congratulated him. He made a lot of good shots."

If approved, Classic Lanes would become the only bowling center to have more than one certified 900 series rolled on its lanes. Tony Roventini recorded the second approved 900 series at Classic Lanes on Nov. 9, 1998.

"I saw both of them," said Daroszewski. "It's amazing that we have two of them."

i find it amazing how fast these can be reported and verified when everything is in order and yourte not trying to dupe people into thinking you did something great.

Wow, Congratulations to him for this amazing feat.  Imagine two in the same center.

I've bowled with both Arrow(Daroszweski) and Rovetini.  I even hooked up the Gary and his wife Gina, also an excellent bowler, in Vegas last year.  This is the same center that the Masters was bowled at the past two seasons.  Both of those guys will be in the Wisconsin Bowling Hall of Fame in he near future.  We can surely, at this point, recognize this latest 900 as another legitimate example of ultimate bowling perfection.  Congratulations!

I watched Ryan Lever and Gary Daroszewski bowl doubles together at the state tournament in Fond du Lac that night.  They actually told me about it then.  Their shift started at like 8:30, so they must have been on a tight schedule if they waited to see him shoot 900 in the 4pm league.

That's some good shootin' and congrats are in order.  However, I do find it a bit intriguing that (if the latest one is certified) 2 out of only 9 perfect sets were recorded at the very same center...

I'll give the guy props. I mean just throwing the ball between the two channels after the front 35 and I would be happy, however easy the shot.
