AMF balls

Since 900 Global are pouring AMF balls I'm assuming that AMF balls are closely related to 900 Global, like brother/sister, rather than being more of a distant relation, like third cousin twice removed?

I got a real good deal on a Code that I couldn't resist and now I'm wondering if it'll live up to my expectations.

For the most part yes, they both use the 10-90 sacale for ball strength. AMF uses F and 900 uses S

The Code is an awesome ball. Smooth as silk. Similar to a Heist only with more backend. Great carry and easily tunable surface. It is a ball that is in my keeper collection.

A core design for the AMF product and the 900 global products come from the same R&D group, all resins come from the same suppliers. Bascially until they are logoed they could end up at either company. We design based on the line and the performance we are targeting within the line.
The Break could have been an AMF ball and the N-code could have been a Global ball.

Just out of curiousity, if they are basically the same aside from the logo, why are they not priced the same.  It seems that 900 balls are more expensive than AMF balls.  I was also wondering which balls have the soaker cover, I heard that the Break s75 was a soaker but what other 900 balls are and what other AMF balls are?

Ah, but he did not say that, nor did he imply they are the same. No offense but, you may be reading something more into what he said that what he explicitly said.

While the balls came from the same design team, I believe the implication is that certain types of balls will become 900Global balls and certain types will be become AMF. It's up to them to decided which is which.

The only one that I remember that's been confirmed is the S75 Break.
