I see that AMF300 balls are not going to be used on the national tour anymore.

They certainly look like they're still on the approved equipment list.

All he appeared to throw last year was the Triumph TNT with different cover preps. This will be interesting.

If you go to the PBA website and go to approved equipment they are definitely still there and to the newest balls including the Project X is listed also. Looks like AMF300 will still be around!!!!

AMF has been re-named to AMF 300.  All AMF equipment listed on the pba site is usable in regional and senior tournaments only.

Same deal with Faball and hammer. name wise.

Voss will not be throwing AMF anymore and Rick Lawrence who threw AMF all last year is going to be switching to Columbia.

This spells the end for AMF stuff on TV.

Honestly .. I am quite surprised. I guess the PBA fees are more then these companies can handle. Am I mistaking or is this also going to hurt some of the PRO'S that were getting paid by these companies .. isn't the failure to register going to minimize the SPONSORS? I like most of the balls put out by AMF in the last couple of years .. don't think this will effect me .. still wonder how it will hurt the PRO'S?

I doubt it's a case of not being able to handle it.  From what Rotogrip has put out, I think it's more a case of not seeing any return on investment.  It might be worth the investment if they said what people were using on the telecast.  Encourage the pros to talk about what they use, at least make mention of what they're using.  Voss did that once last year, I think Duke or Amleto mentioned an equipment change around the time the AI was big shti.  And the Angelo/Couch trash talking.  That's as much equipment talk as I can remember.  Sucks.  Maybe that's what makes the "what ball are they using this week" threads so interesting.

If it hurts anyone, it hurts the pros that were using the equipment and hopefully it hurts the PBA in the pocketbook.
