AMF Mega Friction vs Lane1 Dynamo

It is bound to happen so I will be the 1st to ask.  I would like opinions on how these 2 will compare to each other.  Which one will outhook the other?  Both make statements about their mega hookability.  Which will have the strongest backend reaction?  Any info will be greatly appreciated.

ahhhh not so, I happen to use my dynamo (albeit a test ball) most of the evening on our house shot

or perhaps drilled for the right condtions, with the appropriate surface prep

but of course our house shot is a little off the norm  41 ft buffed to 43 with decent volume on synthetics, I see virtual gravities, sanded balls and such having trouble making the hole but my dynamo doenst, that being said, my cover on my tester is not the same as the production balls, production balls are stronger from what I have seen thus far

mine is at 4k abrlaon, my AO actually hooks earlier
the dynamo goes longer but reacts to the dry harder

Thanks I have an AO sitting in my room waiting to be plugged and drilled up for my hand.

It is at 1000 grit and I think that might be what I need for states.

Stronger backend will probably come from the Dynamo, but I could definitely see the Mega Friction being able to handle more oil when the backends aren't clean

Surface prep is always the key to achieving the desired reaction as triggerman has pointed out.  I have my AO polished with the 500 Abralon box surface and it's a killer on our 38' house shot.  Can't wait to get my DYNAMO......it'll rock, I just know it!

I've used the dynamo tester, and to me its not an uncontrollable HOOKA_MONSTER
sure its strong, and sure its hooks a lot and its aggressive, but i could totally see using this on a THS. the recovery was what was impressive to me.

i think ( jmo ) the MF is going to live up to its name ( and warning label )

but a side by side comparison i don't think will be that close between the two.

we will wait and see

but like what has been said

makes a big difference imo

In comparing the two balls, it is important to realize that backend reaction does not equate to total hook.

Because of the cover on the MF, it should hook earlier and in more oil. It's an unbuffed 1000 Abralon six percent particle cover wrapped around a nice core. So you'll definitely see its ability to HOOK.

The Dynamo will give you hook "in oil", but not as much. You'll see slightly more backend reaction, with less early roll.

Neither ball is bad... it's just the match up you want in your bag. I personally think many bowlers would do well to have earlier rolling equipment, but backend reaction (which "looks" like it scores better... but is by and large less consistent) seems to be the order of today. To each his own.

For some reason my MF seems to be the opposite. Drilled pin next to ring, I have seen a ton of recovery on the backend out of the Friction. I easily put it up against the Virtual Gravity/Dimension/Agent Orange in the competition for total hook. I have yet to throw a Dynamo, but I have thrown pretty much all of the other oil balls. From the Morich Levrg to the Cell, and the only ball comparable to its recovery ability was the VG, but the VG did not handle nearlys as much oil as the Mega does. This ball reminds me of a Bounty on steroids, it just keeps coming!
