Just curious... If you could remake/bring back any AMF ball from years past, what would it be? And why?
-
AMF Angle Evolution Extra.
Gotta be one of the most angular high volume balls I've ever drilled up. Maybe beef up the cover for today's volume, but that core was real nice
Plus, all black balls strike more than any other balls!!
-
The particle Terminal Velocity. Angle Evolution tour.
-
Titan Solid Edition. Great medium oil benchmark type ball with a nice hard arcing backend. It's everything you need to read a lane, and I used to be able to throw it on almost anything.
-
Maximum Velocity
Because it was a very versatile, low rg, high diff polished solid that worked.

See? I'm not the only one! I'd take a regular Velocity
too!
-
AMF Solar Flare.
Same core as the Profit & Raw Profit which was the best ball I ever owned. The Solar Flare was the best pearl, even better than the Profit.
-
To be honest, I'd probably buy any of the balls that came out of that era. Velocity (any of them), justice, supreme justice, radar. Great run there.
-
AMForce Series. Very versatile. The balls did exactly what they were designed to do. I loved those things!
-
The Velocity Epoxy?
Oh... I mean, I liked the MJ Slam and the Nighthawk Torque Pearl
-
Pink Slam
-
Any solid version of the NightHawks or the Swirl. I loved watching Learn put on a clinic in Erie with that ball.

+1 on the Nighthawk Torque Pearl
-
The Justice series was great!
Can we get a Scamp too??
-
Sumo!! Either one.
-
I think a Super Scamp wrapped in something close to the S60 on the Dark Matter would be awesome.
-
AMF Code any day of the week. In fact I still have my old one.
-
I don't know what id bring back, but I think they should update the Xcite series with a solid maybe a hybrid. Since 900global has their whole Boost line which was awesome, Id like to see different Xcites so I can stay within the AMF brand I love. AMF bowling centers not so much...lol.
-
XS
-
Nighthawk Menace
And the AM FORCE line
-
Firehawk ... most versatile ball I've ever owned. Core was good in multiple balls but whatever combo they did with the Firehawk worked the best. Had multiple 800s on league conditions with that ball and also won a World Team Challenge sweeper with it. One of few balls I've had that crossed over between wall beater and good tournament ball. Could play straight with it, could curve it.
Angle Evolution Exxtra ... ball was strong on back but really predictable. Combination you don't see in a lot of balls on market.
If you're strictly looking for a name or series to bring back ... Ninja or Sumo
-
Firehawk was the bomb!
-
What was the difference between a Hawk and a Firehawk? Anyone remember?
-
Solid vs particle Pearl.
-
Solid vs particle Pearl.
Thanks. I assume the core dynamics were very close to the same, also.
-
Yeah, its the Super Scamp style weight block. My Fire Hawk was money on everything.
-
I was going to say a Michael Jordan Reactive but isn't that the same core as the Firehawk?
I was also a lover of the Angle Evolution Exxtra! Why did I sell that?
I still think a new Clutch solid would be very sweet! But I've said that on another post!
Regards,
Luckylefty
PS I have a Track Spell which I think is equivalent to the Super Scamp. It has been my go to flat heavy oil ball for about 10 years! (no belly)....
-
LL,
You're correct about the Spell. Stronger cover, but same weight block. I'd buy 3 Clutches, along with 2 more Pearls. I have a NIB sitting here!
-
I had a Triumph TNT and I loved the way it rolled. The whole Triumph series looked like it was pretty good. The new 900 Global Dark Matter has the same shaped core as the Triumph balls but with a different density.
-
To all of you asking for so-and-so ball to be remade: If you loved this or that ball, then why did you stop using it?
I have loved the Shred-It since it came out. I am now on my 3rd Shred-it. This one being 15 pounds since I moved down in weight last year. I will never remove the Shred-It from my bag. I clean it up all the time and reaction has not wavered. It is my GO TO ball.
So, I would love to see the Shred-It remade just so I can stock pile a few.

I just bought a 15 pound Triumph TNT off of EBay. It worked real nice on my Tuesday league this week.

I saw that listing but had to pass on it. And to answer your question to everyone, my Triumph TNT (and my Bone XS, which I also liked) were both 16s and I've since moved to 15. Both balls were donated long ago.
Good luck with your Triumph TNT!

OK ThomasR you have a boatload of requests. So don't leave all of us hanging......which ball(s) will it be?
-
My vote goes for the Ninja series (loved the original and Ninja Master), also liked the NightHawk and King Cobra.
-
Angle Evolution Reactive was a great ball for me.
-
I would easily say any of the Ninja series balls. Also, its a fairly new one, but just was discontinued, bring back the Darkness!
-
I'm trying to figure out how old my old AMF The Angle bowling ball is. The serial # is 5R2E063. Does anyone know how to tell via the serial #? Thanks.
