Double Clutch Pearl review

Double Clutch Pearl

I drilled my Double Clutch Pearl with my standard pin up, 5 ½ x 5 layout and was looking for something to compliment my Long Shot and Favorite.  There are a lot of times when my Favorite is picking up too early, and my Long Shot will want to push too long, and then be too angular.  So after drilling I also lightly took a 2000 Abralon pad to this ball as well.  To say I was pleasantly surprised would be a huge understatement!!!

This ball has basically become my Thursday night league go to ball.  It’s a medium length house shot, on worn, high friction HPL lanes.  Plus our team has no shortage of rev rate.  Also we’ve been in the middle of the house the last few weeks and I usually fight early hook and poor carry on this section of lanes.

With the Double Clutch Pearl I am able to be about 5-3 right of my Break Out and Raw Profit and not have to worry about the early hook.  Then the unique part of this ball starts to show up around the start of game two when the carry down sets in, and this ball is still able to create a consistent reaction though it.  Then I’m easily able to chase the oil line inside as the heads break down and still kick out the corners where most balls this clean won’t hit from.

So if you’re looking for something to combat medium volume house or Sport shots, as well as something that will perform well on broken down patterns the Double Clutch Pearl could be a good option.

I also hope to have a video up in the next week or so.  I've had some issues getting any footage shot.  If you have any questions about this ball just let me know.

Thanks,
Erik V.
