Got my Torch
« on: February 16, 2015, 11:40:44 AM »
900 global and AMF have always appealed to me. When I look at their offerings, I don't see a lot of overlap.

My shop has a brand new Double Clutch solid that I think I'll be buying shortly to be my benchmark ball and slowly replacing my arsenal with other amf and possibly 900 global

What I'm looking at:

Pure
Decimate/Respect
Double Clutch solid
Nighthawk SE
Xcite/Boost

I always wanted a Double Clutch. Looked early and smooth. Nice looking lineup.

So shortly after I posted this, someone decided to buy the Double Clutch while I was busy at school.

I ended up with a good deal on a Torch, so time to decide how to drill it. Not sure whether I want it to flip or go smoother like a Twisted Fury I had that rolled great on burn

Ended up going with a layout of 70 x 2.5 x 80 to have for when the lanes get chewed up.

I've shot 8 games with it and love that I went with this layout. Bowling after senior leagues I've averaged 230 including a 300 today. No overreaction to friction and retains a lot of energy

I'm gonna say right now I'm just looking at skipping getting an Xcite or Boost and just roll with a 4 ball arsenal

I so want to try out a Torch. I should order one when I order my Pure.
