Grips or no Grips
« on: September 03, 2004, 08:42:57 AM »
I have been a frequent ballreviews reader for quite some time now, but only until recently that i have been able to actually respond and post questions.  I need your feedback on the pros and cons about going gripless. I learned to bowl using grips...the grip it and rip generation so to speak.  The more i bowl tournaments and speak with regional pba pros the more i get mixed answers along with mix results(my bowling). Some say bowling without grips gives them a more consistent feel ball to ball and some even say a heavier roll with more control. Some swear by grips as it gives them more "area" or "carry". Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

This should go in the misc. forum in the future.  You'll get a lot more replies there.  This question has been asked several times lately.  If you feel like spending some time with the search function, you might find your answers there.  Here is the one I found quickly.  Remember to set your preferences back to 30 or 45 days to see all of the replies.
