Heist Update
« on: January 18, 2008, 03:50:56 PM »
A couple months back I asked some questions about the Heist.  Well needless to say I finally got one.

Ended up going with a 14# ball just to try it out.  I have about 9-15# balls and 4-16# balls.  Drilled it pin under middle with cg kicked positive at 45 degrees.

OOB this ball was a little weak in league.  Our center makes sure for the mens league there is plenty of oil and the backends aren't fresh.  I struggled the first 2 weeks with it as it was just too squirty.  Had 605 and 619.

This week I took it down to 1000 abralon and WOW what a difference.  Ball is very even and smooth with this finish and it never quits drivin'.  First game was the adjustment game just getting used to the ball, 1 open for 212.  Second game I was on fire, had 1 ball that I grabbed too much and left 3 for a 277.  Third game started off well then a couple big splits in the middle.  Ended up with a 213 for a total of 702 on the night.

What's so nice about the ball is that it covers just as many boards as my No Mercy at 500, but does it with an arc instead of the kick left that I get on the NM.

I'm really going to love this ball, thanks everyone for your comments and answers.
