Max Velocity is a solid reactive vs the pearl reactive cover of the X. The solid cover of the Max, even polished, will start a little sooner than the X and have less backend. The cover on the X is not as aggressive, thus giving you more length and more flip on the backend. I have not drilled this combo for anyone, but, both balls are VERY good.

Just depends on what you are looking for. Track Rule is stronger than the Max, and the X and original Rule are a great 1-2 punch!
