Given your speed and rev rate, I would suggest a pin above drilling and some polish, as I have drilled a number of these and they are sneaky strong, especially given the strength of the core.  If you don't have any carry-down issues you might look at a Seismic Desperado, a pearl urethane, which is poured at 900G like the Hype.

I definatly agree with BWDavy that this ball is sneaky strong. Mine id drilled 5 x3.5 pin up. Ipolished mine with rough buff, then extra shine and then diamond gloss. Im thinking of doing a 55°x2.5"x35° with an x-hole 2" down pap on Val.  What
say you guys

Better have a lot of ball speed or smooth out the surface.
This is one grabby ball. I used a 5.5" pin to PAP and still get 4" of flare.
I smoothed it out a lot - took a lot of work but it's much better now.

it is by no means a dry lane ball unless you have more speed than most mortals can produce.

I think you guys underestimate the abilities of man.  Alot of people criticized
the same drilling I put on my Temper.  But that ball was smooth. As the drill
will be a controll drill, i think it would smooth the roll out that most hated
or loved with the Hype Urethane.  I dont want a hook monster or a dry lane ball,
but a consistent roll so as I can play closer to the ditch instead of pitching
right all the time.

I'm not criticizing it. I just stated that in my experience with this ball, unless you smooth out the coverstock's surface, as I did, that drilling, plus the flare (RG Differential) built into that core, will make that ball try to get into a roll very early. It is NOT an asymmetric and after drilling, it does not have a strong mass bias or imtermediate differential.

With the cover and the core, it is a true medium oil ball for the average revs and average ball speed bowler. If you have high ball speed, you're good. If you have a good amount of head oil, you're good. Otherwise, I advise, I SUGGEST caution with that drilling and the stock surface.

Take that for whatever it's worth. I'm only trying to save you grief. I hope it works well for you.

FYI, I found surprising hitting power with this ball when I played, when I was able to play an outside line.

John my comment was directed to Hammer, not you. Mine was surprisingly STRONG, as strong as many mid-performance balls it had a very strong early mid lane with a huge hook and flare (4-5")
