I am wanting a good, mid-range ball with a smoother reaction and a milder cover for when the lanes start to break down. I have been looking pretty hard at the VILLAIN and have a chance to get one at a great price.

Is this piece a true mid-range ball, or is it one of those "sleeper" balls that is much stronger than advertised (I.E. Emerald VIBE)?

Our lanes get pretty dry pretty quick. You can throw high performance for the first game, maybe half the second, but not after that. I have a great duo for really dry ( CLAW hammer and RAZYR hammer ), just need something more than the CLAW and less than "HIGH PERFORMANCE" level stuff.

I have also been looking at the Orbit EXTREME. Anyone know anything about that one as well?

I have to agree with you here, was a big time old school fan of Track and find myself a current big fan of 900G and AMF equipment.
