Triumph TNT experiment with a 0" pin
« on: January 08, 2007, 04:34:33 AM »
I picked this ball from Beans quite a while ago and tossed in on the shelf. The ball had a 0" pin, the CG is right on the pin. It was a blem label. I toyed around with having it drilled axis (top was 2 1/4) so the weight wasn't going much of an issue. I was afraid of a low pin because of tracking over the finger.

Rather than axis I decided to put the pin right under the middle finger and drill the fingers deep to take out the finger weight. I guess that put the pin about 6" from PAP.

The ball turned out to be a very nice rolling ball. Very smooth and forgiving, not jumpy at all. It can be alittle weak in it middle if I miss badly. Hits and carries very nice. I used to think it didn't make sense to drill a strong ball mild but this changed my mind. This ball seems to work very well so far.
