Read a post about the benefit of taking the factory shine off the ball and then putting it back yourself. My Sideways is skating abit. How should I do this? The ball comes 600 grit with 2000 grit polish. Thanks forum members I appreciate any suggestions.

Well here are the results. I took you guy's advice and took the ball back to 500 grit abralon removing the 2000 grit polished finish, I then polished the ball with my favorite polish Beans Secret Sauce now the ball is really smooth through te heads with that angular back end that I expected when I purchased the Sideways. I can get this ball to turn the corner with ease. The ball is now reacting like its namesake its now going Sideways thank you guys for your help I greatly appreciate

Sand it thoroughly with a green nylon Scotch-Brite pad (600 grit) or 600 grit US grade wet/dry sandpaper or a 1000 grit Abralon pad (approx 550 grit US). Then apply a light coat of your favorite polish. Test.
If needed, apply a second LIGHT coat.

I took a 4000 ablaron pad and a little water and just lightly used the pad in a spinner on the ball and it reads the lanes much better. Could use an Abalron pad by hand but rather softly or a light grey scotchbrite pad.

i used an old 1k pad, so probably something like 2k, and then rough buff, works great. Rough buff makes it kinda tacky without to much shine. would sheen be a correct term?? hahaha
