I can tell you it looks cool, I think it the same specs as Heist put in a pearl cover...maybe ET can confirm or deny that statement?  This is if he isn't frozen here in michigan...

I dont think he's frozen... Yet that is...

A Heist Pearl? I like the sound of that, the original Heist was a very underrated ball for the performance

Are they really coming out with these?  If so, why would they come out with a pearl version of a ball that you couldn't hardly give away?

The HEIST was a good ball, but nobody I have ever seen throws one, and nobody I know has one.  They were discontinued a while back and were available for as litle as $50 NIB because distributors and shops couldn't move them.

Why would they even WANT a pearl version of something like that?

Juggernaut, here's the thing... The Mega Friction has actually helped out AMF and has got more people interested in them. The big hype for the Mega got more people looking. When everyone else is producing "big balls" AMF is coming out with great products for the lighter side of lane conditions after they already brought out their "big one"

Oh, I totally agree.  I am dying, trying to wait on money to own a VILLAIN myself.  It's just that since the HEIST didn't sell well and had a bad rep ( for some reason, maybe just A.M.F.? ), I was thinking maybe they could make the ball and just change the name from HEIST.

People in "the know" would know what it was and those who were biased against the HEIST wouldn't be burdened with wanting/buying a sequel of something they are already biased against.

They could call it THIEF or something

That is good for me that noone has one that I have seen yet in my area. But I  guarantee you that on Tuesday night everyone that I was bowling against wanted that ball. I had a look and carry that others were envious about, all wrapped in a burgandy little shell. That is typical when I use this ball, one of my all time favorites.

This ball should go down as the all time most overlooked ball that has came out.

I would pick up a pearl version and drill it up the same in a heartbeat, regardless of how disappointed my girl got.

well for those of you that are curious about this ball i found some info...

same rg and diff as original heist just in the pearl cover.

here is an e-mail I received from David at Classic Bowling Products after I asked him if the Heist Pearls would be available through them...

"Found out from AMF that the Heist Pearl was a ball that they were going to make, actually made 250, and then it was cancelled before it ever really got off the ground.  It is not an official release and is immediately on clearance from AMF.  We will not have any of the Heist Pearl’s available.  So if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one you will really have something rare."

It's a nice lookin ball
