Night Hawk Pearl................

What condition would you guys say from your experience this ball is good for?

I've used it on everything except for Heavy. This ball is absolutely amazing. First time out i was subbing for a friend and the lanes were oily with carry down. The lanes are old HPL synthetics, you had the kids bowling all day open play with the plastic balls, they reoil for a short mini house tourney without stripping it then we bowl on it. In the heads there were small dry spot in certain spots. I used the Code for one game and it was a little over under. I play in the track and it goes light or flush. I make a move right and it bites in the heads and go through the nose. I shoot 197 the first game. I decided to try the NHP in game two and go 5 in row, solid 10 pin, 4 in a row, then 2 pin for 268. I was like wow. Game 3, i go a few spares then open in the 5 with a split. Next spare in the 6th then sheet for 236. To average over 250 the last two games was awesome. Also it was the first time throwing it. Hahah!

How did you drill your two NHP? Right now i have mine pin over bridge, mb kicked out 2 inches right of thumb. For me it's 5.5 by 4.5. I was thinking of drilling another 4 x 4 or stacked.

Mine is drilled pin under bridge, 5" from PAP with the MB at 60 degrees, no weight hole.  I hit the entire surface with a green Scotchbrite pad on the spinner and finished with Snake Oil polish.  For a pearl, this ball is very smooth.  Even when the heads are spotty, it clears the heads easily and has a very controllable arc on the backend.

RIP,

This was my newest ball and I was having some pretty good sets with it.

Unfortunately, I left my balls in the trunk of my car all day yesterday (it got up to around 113 in Vegas yesterday). It had a crack that went almost all the way around the ball

What is the degree of the MB relative to?  I'm assuming the PAP or Pin.  If that's the case, do you determine the angle by looking at the in a way that a vertical line through the PAP or pin is parallel to your centerline?  And I'm guessing straight down would be 0 degrees and straight over( right for righties, left for lefties) would be 90 degrees.

To use the degree layout system, first draw a line from the pin to the MB.  Then offset this line by the desired angle.  In my case, it was 60 degrees.  Now measure the desired pin-PAP distance along the offset line, and you have established the PAP.  So if you connect the PAP-pin and MB, it will create a 60 degree angle in this case.  Hope this helps.

Do you mean if you draw a pin to MB line and then draw a different line from the pin to the PAP?  That's the drilling angle is Mo's dual angle system I understand that.  I just don't think of it as an angle to the MB because it's really an angle to the pin-MB line.
