Threw the Night Hawk last night!
« on: November 16, 2006, 09:56:58 PM »
I was going down to the lanes throw it and compare it to my other equipment and maybe shoot some video, BUT i got asked at the last min to sub so i figured what the heck ill give it a shot

No practice and i shot a 694 Honor Match

Here's my first impression....this ball clears the heads real well, picks up in the mids and has a HUGE arcing backend, i had a great reaction last night

i was able to play staighter in the first game and then bump in without any problems

i wanted to compare it to something else but i couldnt put it down!

Looks like AMF300 has another winner...i will give an update after i get a few more games on it

pictures will be up on my website later this afternoon with a video (hopefully) coming up sometime in the near future...

Can't wait to see the vid!

I think the AMF followers would love to see a Lock vs Nighthawk vid comparison seeing how we drilled them identical....

I have had my nighthawk about two weeks now. My first night of league using the ball I shot 279, 300, 268 for an 847. Not bad for the first three out of the box. I believe that I have found my benchmark ball.

My first impression of the ball was a very strong midlane read with a very even arcing backend.

I drilled my second one yesterday with the pin above my middle finger and the mass bias at about a 45 degree angle. That puts the mass bias about 2.5 inches left of my thumb.

This layout creates much more length with a very defined breakpoint. Cant wait to try it on longer patterns.
Gotta love that chickenhawk!!!!!
