Title: TITAN VS. THE SUPER SCAMP
Post by: ball boy on November 15, 2004, 03:07:12 AM
Anyone thrown or seen these two together?  They both sound good and I need a drier lane ball, one that rolls and not flips per say?

Not the Titan for these extreme patterns will do!

Big reaction at back of a blocked weak pattern.

The super scamp is very evne for dryer lanes and the titan is a beast. I have both balls the titan is not a dry lane ball unless you throw over 21 mph.

The post I put above I don't even understand, and I wasn't drunk!
Just very sleepy!

Now the awake version.

Was watching one of our big handed superstars the other day on our long thin volume house shot on Brunswick Anvilanes.  18 mph at pin deck 400 to 450 rpms!

For once he was struggling so we got to see a little ball comparison chart put out.

Formerly all columbia he is starting to AMF it a little bit.  Typically his go to ball at this house is the Throttle/r.  But since he was only going to throw a low 6 instead of his often 760 plus in this league he was hunting and pecking!

Used the Wired, Titan, Scamp and Throttle R.

Wired was earliest and gave a big hook with a lot of pop and a little snap move at end(a multiple 800 ball for him).

Titan was truly awesome in reaction.  Medium length with a hell of an angular snap move that started pretty early on this shot.  (lots of midlane too).
When I watch this ball I think of the Ego from Columbia but maybe a touch earlier and a touch more angular.  I didn't believe it could be so.
Almost like my V2 pearl but my V2 is a little smoother!

Scamp was too long this day and pretty snappy.  Pattern is 40 feet.

Throttle R was the second longest and had a real good sneerrrrve(that's snap swerve) at the end.  MAybe a touch long for this shot too!  But the best this day!

I don't know how controllable the Titan is but if you like high testosterone league bowling this may be the ticket.  Can't tell if it is better than Ego but it sure is exciting!

Titan= Pulse pearl with a few more boards of backend due to slightly raised diff. Good med ball all way around. Scamp is excellent for dry lanes, quite smooth. I would not recommend for very long patterns but depends on style and drill pattern. Both ball have proven cores and covers so questions on hit and carry are few. Haven't seen the super Scamp used yet so not sure.
