~300~ Finally Did It!! slight figjam

After being close so many times, finally shot first 300.  Been bowling fairly consistent last 2 months with several 270s and 280s, and finally got one of the monkey's off my back.  300 first game, 214, 201.  Was throwing the Hype Pearl with a 85°x2 1/2"x45° layout.  Just drilled it up Wednesday and only had one game on it before the 300.  AMF & 900 are doing a fantastic job with the stuff their putting out.  Kudos to them.

It makes for an awesome early Christmas gift for myself

WAY TO GO GUNNY. I HOPE YOU HAVE MANY MORE. I HAVE ONLY 1 AND IT HAS BEEN 12 YRS SINCE I BOWLED IT. LOTS OF 279'S AND 280'S EVEN A 299 NO 300

Congrats. Good shooting.

I remember my first, and only 300 so far, came back on Dec 27 2007. Prop shop owner passed away the previous Sunday.

I feel like I should have more because I am pretty consistent on my shots, but there is always that one frame where the lights turn off.

Oh well. Trust me, many more will follow.

Thanks guys!  I've been so close the last few months and didn't know if it would ever come.  And yes, it was sanctioned.  Did it in my Thursday night mens league.  The ten pin cost me on one night, and the dreaded 9 pin cost me one a few weeks ago.  Shooting 279 and 289 respectively on those nights.  Those two I was really confident and thought it was going to happen.  Last night I was a bit skeptical, seeing I was throwing a ball that I only had thrown one game previously with.

Hugh, thanks brother!  Yours isn't too far away.  They way we've both been smacking them lately, I'm surprised it hasn't happened.  After the 289, I told the wife that I was gonna do it before the end of the year.  And to make it even better, she's taking me to dinner tonight!  Yahoo for me.  Makes the Holiday Season even more joyful!

I wish everyone could enjoy that excitement just once.  I must have high fived the whole city it seemed...lol!
