Any comparisons between these two balls? Black Ops has a slightly stronger core (based on numbers)... but Cheater Hybrid may have a stronger cover?
Anyone seen/thrown these?

I have the Cheater Hybrid. Unfortunately I can't compare it to the Black Ops because I don't have it but what I see with the Cheater Hybrid is a smooth reacting ball...not jumpy by any means unless you pull your shot. I was able to use it the last two weeks of my bowling season and absolutely loved it. It gave me a look that my other equipment didn't because of how jumpy my other stuff was. I have it drilled pin up for length and a snappy backend but as I said....it's far from snappy but it drives hard and carries the world. I finally had a ball that I knew what it would do the minute I threw it and for a strong ball....I was able to use it the whole night with minimal movements and still at the 2000 grit box surface. I loved it so much I bought another and plan on drilling it for the next bowling season only pin down and I will make a surface adjustment to see what type of reaction I will get. Hope this helps.

Assume the cheater hybrid is better on oil, smoother, and the black ops is a better ball for a medium type shot, better length, slightly more angle..
All due to the covers factory finish...
The black ops is a solid with polish much like the eternal cell...
The cheater hybrid is (referencing the cell line) something like what the rogue cell was...a hyrbid without polish. A modern day ball would be the Roto critical....but that ball is in a category by
itself.

The cheater cover looks like it has some type of particle in it as well. May contribute to the smoother reaction.

Maybe being at 2000 grit might attribute to the smooth reaction. I don't see any particle load in the coverstock but don't let that fool you though. The ball is not weak by any means. This ball can play many angles and it always finds the pocket. I am almost 50 so I have lost a bit of revs from my game so that might also be part of the reason the ball is smoother for me. Someone with more hand can probably wheel the entire lane with it. Either way...the ball is a winner in my book. The last two weeks I used it.....where everyone was struggling to find a line.....I had no problem opening up the lane and striking at will.

The Cheater Hybrid is definitely a strong ball, the only thing I have that covers more boards is my Guru Mighty(both with similar layouts and cover prep). The Cheater stands up a bit sooner and rolls more forward, and the Mighty is slightly later, more angular and continuous, and covers a couple more boards overall. They both need some volume to perform well.

If you want to try a strong pearl.....give the Outbreak Pearl a try. That ball is seriously strong and it has great shelf appeal. This is my first time using AZO stuff and it does not disappoint. I was a big Seismic fan but lately they haven't made anything that I was too impressed with. I would have loved to have gotten my hands on the AZO Area and Area Check. I wish i knew someone that had a used one in 14lbs that they weren't using anymore.
