Post by: baltimora on October 01, 2009, 02:27:17 PM: i watch an elderly women bowl on wednesday nights with an old red-white-and-blue pearl plastic ball. i always wondered why no one ever tried to recreate a pearl reactive with patriotic colors like that. with the plastic the colors were separate distinct patches which looks cool going down lane. i don't know if technology wise reactive could be poured that way. but i would love to see something like that.

Post by: themagician on October 01, 2009, 05:59:07 PM: Deep blue pearl ball, not a flippy one, more like the cell pearl in rollier by nature but layout and cover prep can tweak it, but overall stronger ball.

Black, Burgundy, maybe even blue as well, deep colored solid reactive, but a lengthier style, higher R.G. but still higher differential, ball for heavier mediums with good downlane move.

why not a particle ball?!?! every azo that i had were strong on backend maybe that could be great to see a smoother reaction? and i hope that next year there s gonna be a new azo URETHANE to start the new season that would be awesome!

Red/Orange + Silver/Gray similar to the Break pearl or original Inferno.

One could be a control type ball, like a V2 or Cell and another for opening up the lane as the pattern breaks down - cleaner through the heads and reads the dry stronger, but not skid/flip - maybe similar to the original Black Widow.

I used the Radical Pro Pearl last year and a Ultra Radical solid last year for a bit. I'm real devoted to Roto Grip, knowing that you guys are linked together, maybe use a core similar to the Grand Illusion core with a cover similar to the Rogue, bur stronger, but not as strong as the Mutant Cell I saw being tested today.

Post by: dizzyfugu on January 26, 2010, 07:20:54 AM: At Storm sources, re-release the Trauma (Accu-Tread pearl), but maybe with a simpler core construction, just similar RG numbers. A matte solid version might be added, too.

For the colors... yellow/orange/pewter pearl could be nice. Simple black with bright engravings is also a classic option. Or a combo of white pearl with another bright contrast color, e. g. red pearl, emarald or crimson, for a VERY different look.
