Title: On-Line Sales
Post by: golfnutFL on September 22, 2009, 06:43:57 AM
Are there any on-line shops that will sell the new Azo equipment or will it be pro shop sales only?

I have dealt with them in the past with no problems.

Many internet/online dealers USED to carry them.

I would have to guess that either AZO put their foot down in order to keep with their original premise of only selling through their "authorized" pro shops,
OR
their forced minimum prices were too high to "enter" the market.

I would also guess that since they have been out of the general market for 5+ years (since Lanemasters took over their factory and inventory, and Storm then purchased the righ tto the name, AZO, maybe more than that also?), most potential buyers view their ONLINE prices as too high a starting point. In this way they are similar to the way Lane #1 used to be: higher than average online prices but normal prices in a pro shop. This seem to deter many online buyers and pro shops hesitate to stock unproven sales.

Their products seem well thought out and well designed, but the name needs to become more popular, similar to the way Lanemasters and Seismic(Kinetic) have made their way into the market.

I beleive AZO guy said that the price point was going to come down with the new releases to make them compete more more with the other companys.

at one time 2 of my distributors carried AZO, the price point of the equipment was a substantial draw back. The two distributors I mainly deal with ended up selling the balls at cost + shipping to recoup their investment then dropped the AZO Line.
