The AZO trademark is being used under a licensing agreement by BowlersMart from Storm Products, Inc., the owner of the trademark.  These two Legit balls will be the foundation of a series of introductions built under the AZO trademark in the coming months.  As you’ll recall, the AZO brand is not new to the bowling marketplace.  But it has been on “the shelf” for a while, waiting for an opportunity to be re-introduced to the consumer.  We’re doing just that today with the announcement of our AZO Legit series. These balls will be sold to distributors and purchased through pro shops and online retailers. We are currently signing up distributors and reaching out to pro shops to make them aware they are available.

With the introduction of the Legit Red/Purple and the Legit Emerald/Fire!  The Legit series brings authentic, proven performance to the mid-price level in the AZO lineup.  A predictable rolling Truth Symmetric Core has been engineered for late mid-lane performance, and can be drilled with standard symmetric layouts.  Layered with a new Strong Arm Hybrid coverstock designed to create legitimate traction, the Legit    series is best suited on medium oil lane conditions.  The Legit is finished off with a 4000 grit polished finish, creating exceptional length through the front of the lane, paired with an  aggressive backend finish that will show the opponent AZO is the real deal.

Very cool. I averaged 253 for the first half one year with a area check, (vivid core, before the vivid, great ball!!!) I ended with a 235 (made the shot tougher, clearly no one wants anyone averaging 250 on the THS).  I am very excited as long as its the same quality as before, I'm down!!!

I'm almost proof positive it was the Virtual gravity cover with the vivid core....the ball was unstoppable.  Look up buddies pro shops video for the azo area check....

Area Check video did look good. That Strike Tour didn't look bad either.

But, and I'm honestly not trying to be a turd in the punch bowl here, why should I be excited Bout the news of another midrange offering coming to the market? Albeit with a resurrected name plate.

These balls have a core that reminded me of an older AMF ball called the Villain. SO I wonder if 900Global is making this ball for AZO.

I'm sure the coverstock is way different. The core specs and the appearance seem identical.

I loved the Mark Roth Special Edition which featured the same core. It was pretty angular.

I don't know why that ball came and went so quickly. With its polished hybrid cover and that low-ish RG, medium differential core, it was a major winner. I wish I had bought one.

Correct. Introducing a relabled "900 global Grip it" with a new cover is not all that exciting but I bet we are in store for something good in the high end section.  I would have led with that!

Also in the Grip it, I assume 900 is doing any 2 color pours, storm any 3 colors...time will tell!

The Area was also a great ball.  Never got real popular because of the price point, but I had a tremendous run with it about 5 years ago.  Most guys who tried it really liked it.   Lucid was pretty close to it.  Definitely a better core shell matchup with pearl than aggressive solid.  A storm rep told me at the time that the core gave the strongest back end reaction with any given shell in the Storm Roto line.  The Area reminded me of my Virtual Gravity, but not sure why it would.

Looks like the old Track Triton Elite core from the 90's.
