THE 9's
« on: January 21, 2016, 09:47:04 AM »
I have been bowling for about 6 years now. I started with a simple $30 pair of bowling shoes from Dick's, to bowling with an "athletic" Etonic interchangeable, to the SST8's. I have always had an awkward plant on my slide to which I would lose my balance and finish at an angle. I purchased the 9's about 3 weeks ago. The consistency and balance I get is beyond any shoe I have ever worn. I would definitely recommend these shoes. They give me a natural feeling of walking.

I use the slide sole 7 and the suede heel.

I've had my 9's now for 5 months and about 350 games. That's after having SST8's for about 5 years.

The 9's are solid and comfortable. They're an excellent balance of comfort and support. For contrast, I bought a pair of Pyramid HPX (Brunswick TPX-U) shoes. The HPX's are cushy comfortable, but the jury is still out for me as a total package in the areas of support and durability.

In any case, good choice on the 9's.

I just got my 9's this past week and will try them out tonite for the first time. I currently have SST8 Purple/black limited ed that i really love but got the 9s on a discount. I really wonder how they compare. The only thing i see different is they seem narrower than the 8s so idk if thats going to be a problem as i wear normal 10.5 in the sst8's so i ordered the normal sst9's.

Recently picked up a pair of Nines........very comfortable sturdy shoe....I did not find out about the price of the replacement soles until afterwards....$30 each...cough...cough..........if I had known how much it would cost for extra soles I would have skipped these......should have purchased another pair of SST's........ 8)
All I ever wanted to do get to the line on time & throw the ball well!
