For Those Who Have 3G Tour Ultras
« on: September 09, 2008, 02:07:19 PM »
How does the size compare to your normal street shoes?  I am going to get some, but I want them to fit.

Mine fit just like normal street shoes.  10.5 tennis shoes, 10.5 tour ultras.  Can't go wrong with those shoes, along with the great customer service they provide.

I purchased a pair last year, approx. 16 mos. ago, prior to the buyout, they tore, contacted global, and next day, new pair being shipped to me.  I have nothing but great things to say about them.

I know I'm going to regret admitting to this, but they run LARGE.

I don't have a pair but a friend let me try on his when I expressed a regret that they were not an option for me because they don't come in wide widths.
He takes an 11 D but I take an 11 or an 11 1/2 4E. They fit me perfectly. I don't know how he wears them if they fit me as well as they do.

I feel perfectly at ease, now that I know I have an alternative when my Linds finally do wear out in 5 or 10 years.

And then there's the people who are just cheap. Look at this thread in this forum: http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=206871&ForumID=84&CategoryID=2

They ran a little large for me.  I'm a 12.5 or 13 in most shoes, but I wear a 12 in the Tour Ultras.

Kangaroo leather is the most durable and flexible leather on the market. They stretch very easily to form. Street shoe size is the same as the Tour ultras. If you are not sure see your pro shop and try them on before you purchase...Isn't that the way you buy shoes.

Phil,

99% of the pro shops can not afford to carry the top of the line of anybody's shoes. Most people I know want to support their pro shop but when the local shop have to charge $175 - 200 for the good shoes and you can but them on the internet for $110 - 135 or so, no one buys them at pro shops. My driller said this explicitly to me and several other customers. ANd he didn't blame anyone. He was more than happy to get anything any one wanted, but he wasn't going to stock them.

If my friend didn't let me try on his Tour Ultras, I'd never have known how well they fit. I wouldn't even think of asking a pro shop to "Try them on" when I knew I couldn't afford to buy them from him.

If there was a pro shop in my center and they carried shoes, I would certainly give them my business if they were somewhat competitive with the price.  However, that is not the case, so I will be buying them online.  Thanks for the information.  I will error on the small side.

I wear a 11-1/2D in Linds SE. I just switched over to 3G. I have room, but not enough to say I need a size 11. In New Balance tennis shoes, I wear a 12.

I paid the same price at the pro shop as I saw online. If you buy a lot of balls and have a lot of work done, your driller will cut you a deal.

These shoes are wonderful. I have no idea as to what sole and heel combos to use and how to adjust back and forth. HELP?

Ryan, my Dynos pretty close to my street shoe size.  I typically wear an 11.5-12 and my size 12 Dynos feel good.
