Does anyone use these and how do you like them? I am in need of a new pair of shoes and wanted to get opinions on them as I can't make up my mind as they will have to be ordered as nobody in my area carries them in stock so I can try a pair on. Tried on the Dexters the 9 but wasn't that impressed with the look and comfort of them.

I have a new pair. They are good... perhaps very good. I have a 15 year old pair that I could still use if needed. They were great! The new pair are comfortable, but not (in my humble opinion) as "slipper-like" as the old. I guess the only reason I'm not as much a fan of the new ones is due to how badly I was spoiled by the old ones....

On my 3rd pair after trying Dexter I prefer the tour ultra the kangaroo is soft and durable. I do recommend you use a shoe horn when putting them on.

These are the best!! I had a pair of Brunswick TPUs. I thought they were good, but the 3G Tour Ultras are even better. I love the trailing foot toe cap on the shoe. The TPUS I had a issue with the toe. I drag my trailing toe. Great shoes!!
Opps, I do recommend a shoe horn also. The backs of the shoes seems not to be too strong so I always use a show horn!!

I also got a pair of Tour Ultra's a while ago to replace/upgrade from some Dexter 6's. I found the sizing to be pretty close between the two companies. The rise of the heel is lower on the Tour Ultra than the Dexter. I felt a little uncoordinated at first because I was so used to when my heel hit the ground when I was wearing the Dexter, but it took just that split second longer to touch ground when I first wore the 3G. It was weird at first, but now that i'm used to the new sole height it is fine. They are comfortable, and feel not quite as stiff as I found the Dexter to be, even though I really have no complaint with the Dexter either. If anything the 3G is a little smaller in the toe box of the shoe than Dexter's, so if you have wide feet you may want to carefully consider that. My feet run a bit narrow to average, so I found the 3G more to my personal preference that the roomier fronts of the Dexter.

Interesting on the sizing. I bought a pair that were a full size bigger than my 6LZs, and I couldn't get my feet under me. Not a lot of shops carry my size, so I'm at the mercy of guessing, and do you know how hard it is to sell a pair of 7.5 shoes??

I too am a big ABS/3G tour Ultra fan. I used Dexters starting in 1998 but when the Kangaroo leather ABS shoes came out, I was hooked. ABS is now 3G and I have had the Black ABS, white 3G Tour Ultra and the Light Maroon Ultra and I use these interchangeably and bought a 3G Tour Ultra Black a few months ago and the black ABS is the most comfortable, followed by the white 3G Tour Ultra for me.
I was almost tempted with the 9 but no, I will stick to the Tour Ultras. I have recommended these to friends and no complaints from these friends.

I had and liked my 3G Tour Ultras, until they split on me. I thought they were very comfortable and had good options for the soles.
I have wide feet and the Tour Ultras did not come in a wide size so I bought a pair with plenty of extra toe room but after awhile on both shoes, the top of the shoes separated from the soles. So, if you have wide feet, make sure you buy at least a size up or make sure that you get the size that fits your width, not the toe/heel.
I've since gone to the TPU-X since they offered wide sizes.

Thanks everyone I ordered a pair from Buddies and they arrived in two business days. I had to send them back for a larger size as I ordered the same size as my worn out Dexters and needed a larger pair. Nice looking shoe.

3G tour ultra's are the most comfortable shoe that I have ever wore.

I bought a pair for the toe cap. I felt the soles were too thin to give me the support I needed.

I was a big fan of the Tour Ultra back when they were ABS. Recently my SST 8s had enough so I ordered a pair of the blue/black tour ultras I got them the last week of April and bowled league and our state tournament then the next day I had league championship roll off and the inside upper on my right shoe ripped completely. I guess the tour ultras aren't the same quality based on my recent experience.
